Despite Java saying Schiano should have and could have challenged it, I don't think Schiano could have done anything. The ref on the field can't call for the review, it has to come from the review official in the booth. I guess it's possible that if Schiano raised a big enough stink, the review official might have noticed it on the field and re-checked the play.
