**CENSORED**erson was a great running back, but his last name was apt. I think Peterson would be a better representative of the record, seems like a much more humble, team focused guy.

I think he thought he had the record...teammates carried him off the field. Pam Oliver asked what his emotions were after falling just short 9 yards and he was like "9 yards?!" lol.

Still quite an accomplishment.

Adrian Peterson is arguable the most talented to RB to ever play the position.  There has never been another back with his combination of speed, power, and elusiveness.

also John Grudens fault we didn't draft Peterson . Gruden went on to say he was the best rb he has ever seen but didn't draft him because we had Carnell Williams .. Good move
