I'm telling you all right now, Marquise Goodwin will be the steal of the draft. I would not be upset at all if the bucs picked him in the 2nd. Guy has incredible speed

1)DT - Sheldon Richardson - His motor will be infectious...80 tackles as a DT in the SEC last year
2a) WR - Tavon Austin - Gives our offence an element it's never had... Since Freeman's accuracy is inconsistent give him Austin and he can make some easy bubble screen throws
2b) CB - Xavier Rhodes or  Logan Ryan - one of them will be there, both fit the system.  Would cost our 3 and 4th
4) OT - Chris Faulk - Big right tackle, practiced everyday against Mingo and Montgomery, that's gotta help.
5) RB - Rex Burkhead - Buccaneer Man, compact, powerful pack
6) OL - Terron Armstead - Developmental swing player
7) S - Shamarko Thomas - purely for his name...kidding guy can run...bit too aggressive, can we coach him up?

Free Agency -

1)Resign DE Mike Bennett 3 years 24 mil and as much as I'd like to get his brother I figure he's the highest paid tight end this offseason so instead...
2) TE - Jared Cook - probably have to overpay abit 2 years 10mil
3) S - Glover Quinn - Talented cover safety (converted CB) - 3 years 12 mil
4) CB - Keenan Lewis -  Destroy Eric Wright's 7.75 mil per year contract and hand it to Lewis... making him the 8th highest paid CB this year should be enough to entice him.
5) Resign Big Roy Miller - 2 years 5 mil... instrumental to our run D
Love this offseason.  Would we roll with Hayward or Goode at SAM, though?  I'm ok with that, just wondering if you're oversight of that position was intentional.  Based on your #, we'd still have enough leftover to bring in a Durant or Wheeler type for 2-3 million, and still have cap space leftover to extend MW or rollover to next season.

Man, reading old draft threads is hilarious. Your predictions can look really dumb with enough years of evidence.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

The oversight was intentional, based on missing Black for a good portion of the season and the fact that your 3rd linebacker is becoming an increasingly less important and underused position, I think we could get by with Hayward, Watson or Goode.  Also, despite it being a mock offseason I wanted it to be sort of reasonable...  I don't see us spending all the way to the cap ceiling.  Wheeler will get a decent payday but I bet we could get Durant in that 2-3 mil range

Damn,  if I was going to have more kids... "Shamarko" would be his or her name.

Must. Have.

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

My updated offseason mock wishlist,
Resign Miller, Bennett, Biggers and Blount, Bring in other Bennett and either Sean Smith or DRC they both would be good here.
1st round Jarvis Jones
2nd round Johnathin Banks ( I think he slips after 3 CBs go in round 1 Milliner, Rhodes and Trufant)  Probably have to trade up here losing a 4th rounder.
3rd round Marquise Wheaton (dude is a stud, will make a great 1-2 punch with Mike Williams after V-Jax is done and will be a great number 3 until then)
4th round either Ace Sanders or B.W. Webb because we need a return man on this team BAD.
5th round best DT on the board.
6th round Marcus Lattimore we can sit him the whole year with Blount signing a one year deal then we let Blount walk in 2014 and have an awesome 1-2 with Doug and Marcus.
7th round Caleb Sturgis or some throwaway Q.B.

between FA and the draft there are a couple different ways i can see it playing out. IMO the team needs to address CB, DE, DT, TE,  slot WR, LB, FS, QB, and backup OT and RB this offseason. each scenario depends on what positions are addressed in FA and a draft that reflects it.

scenario A - 1st round BPA
resign: DT roy miller, WR mike williams, DE michael bennett, FS ronde barber, CB e.j. biggers
FA: QB david carr, WR domenik hixon, DT sammie lee hill, CB keenan lewis, TE delanie walker

draft:
round 1: OT - lane johnson (oklahoma) OR DT sheldon richardson (missouri)
round 2: CB - jonthan banks (mississipi state)  OR jordan poyer (oregon state)
round 3: FS - philip thomas (fresno state)
round 4: RB - stepfan taylor (stanford)
round 4: WR - ryan sw.ope (texas A&M)
round 5: DE - david bass (missouri western state)
round 6: CB - nigel malone (kansas state)
round 7: TE - philip lutzenkirchen (auburn)

scenario B - 1st round DE
resign: DT roy miller, WR mike williams, FS ronde barber, e.j. biggers
FA: CB sean smith, QB david carr, WR domenik hixon, DT glenn dorsey, TE anthony fasano, RB brian leonard

draft:
round 1: DE - ezekiel ansah (BYU)
round 2: TE - zach ertz (stanford)
round 3: LB - khaseem greene (rutgers)
round 4: CB - leon mcfadden (san diego state)
round 4: CB - will davis (utah state)
round 5: OT - rick wagner (wisconsin)
round 6: WR - conner vernon (duke)
round 7: DE - quanterus smith (western kentucky)

scenario C - 1st round CB
resign: DT roy miller, WR mike williams, DE michael bennett, FS ronde barber
FA: CB greg toler, DT sedrick ellis, LB jonathan casillas, TE martellus bennett

draft:
round 1: CB - xavier rhodes (florida state)
round 2: WR - tavon austin (west virginia)
round 3: TE - travis kelce (cincinnati)
round 4: FS - d.j. swearinger (south carolina)
round 4: CB - B.W. webb (william & mary)
round 5: OT - rick wagner (wisconsin)
round 6: DE - michael buchanon (illinois)
round 7: RB - zac stacy (vanderbilt)

My January first glance MOCK with alternates.

Heavy focus on DB's, Slot WR, and a return guy.

Hit Rutgers, WVA, SEC and Wisconsin for Oline.

Round   First Choice / Alternate
Round 1   Dee Milner   CB/Xavier Rhodes CB
Round 2    Tavon Austin WR/ Johnathan Banks CB
Round 3    Ryan Logan CB/Stedman Bailey WR
Round 4    Ryan Otten   TE/Dion Sims TE
Round 4    Rick Wagner OL/Xavier Nixon OL
Round 5    Dennis Johnson RB/Terry Hawthorne DB
Round 6    Tyrann Mathieu DB/Jawan Jamison RB
Round 7   JJ Wilcox SS/Anthony McCLoud DT
Round 7   Scott Valone DT/Cody Davis SS

Changing my mind now...  pre-combine draft thought..

This draft is waaaay too deep at DT not to pick one early in round one.

1. Sharrif Floyd, DT
2. Johnthan Banks, CB  (trade up if necessary)
3. Logan Ryan, CB
4. Markus Wheaton, WR
4. Gavin Escobar, TE
5. Xavier Nixon, OT
6. Dennis Johnson, RB
7. Tyrann Mathieu, DB

and depth...

I agree about the DTs, but I'd prefer Jesse Williams in the 2nd or Brandon Williams in the 3rd. Better value imo.

Also, Escobar is the #3 TE according to most sites, so he'll probably be gone when we pick in the 3rd. Almost certainly won't be there in the 4th.
