I like where you are going with those changes spurzo. Probably not a realistic top 3, but if it happened I'd be delighted.
Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.
1)DT - Sheldon Richardson - His motor will be infectious...80 tackles as a DT in the SEC last year 2a) WR - Tavon Austin - Gives our offence an element it's never had... Since Freeman's accuracy is inconsistent give him Austin and he can make some easy bubble screen throws 2b) CB - Xavier Rhodes or Logan Ryan - one of them will be there, both fit the system. Would cost our 3 and 4th4) OT - Chris Faulk - Big right tackle, practiced everyday against Mingo and Montgomery, that's gotta help.5) RB - Rex Burkhead - Buccaneer Man, compact, powerful pack 6) OL - Terron Armstead - Developmental swing player 7) S - Shamarko Thomas - purely for his name...kidding guy can run...bit too aggressive, can we coach him up?Free Agency - 1)Resign DE Mike Bennett 3 years 24 mil and as much as I'd like to get his brother I figure he's the highest paid tight end this offseason so instead... 2) TE - Jared Cook - probably have to overpay abit 2 years 10mil 3) S - Glover Quinn - Talented cover safety (converted CB) - 3 years 12 mil 4) CB - Keenan Lewis - Destroy Eric Wright's 7.75 mil per year contract and hand it to Lewis... making him the 8th highest paid CB this year should be enough to entice him.5) Resign Big Roy Miller - 2 years 5 mil... instrumental to our run D
