I know the Bucs QBs have sucked from beginning to end but it took this long to break the Tds record?
Dilfer was the last QB to start for 5 seasons worth of games, and in about his first 19 or so games he only had 5 TDs.
Brad Johnson was good enough to break the record, but his play fell off a ridiculous amount in 2004 to the point where had to be benched.
Griese, Simms, and Garcia didn't play long enough. None of them threw that many TDS while they were here either. Garcia was a decent player but he only threw for 25 TDs in 24 starts. Freeman had more just this year.
So that pretty much explains the past 20 years.
