I'm not worried about his character. If his character isn't good enough, the team simply won't take him. They have as good a scouting report as anyone with Ron Cooper.

The only thing he would be good for is as a return specialist. Dude is limited as a defender and was never much of a coverage guy at LSU.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

Tyrann would be a beast at playing the nickel CB position and coming off the edge blitzing. Tyrann was never a cover guy and he has his limitations but hey if Myron Lewis and EJ Biggers can make a NFL roster Tyrann can also.

Wait wait wait...

Some are advocating taking a guy with a limited skill set (nickel corner) and drug problems in the NFL? It's almost like no one's heard of Tanard Jackson.

You take him in the 6th or 7th and hope for the best. But why take a guy who's had multiple drug suspensions and even when he HAD to get clean couldn't?
