21 year old kid just got his pants pulled down in front of the whole country.....that being said this story will fizzle out. He was young and naive, ...you know ...like most 21 year olds. Every year that ticks by after 30 I realize exactly how naive all 21 year olds are. That built in sense of bravado and immortality that comes with youth can be detrimental. But in his defense nothing illegal or immoral occurred here. I would rather Te'o and his session to conceal the fact that he got duped than someone busted smoking pot or drinking and driving. If I'm in his shoes and I realize my girlfriend is fake....yeah I'm gonna try to hide that as best I can. So his decision to do so isn't that bad in my book.....getting high before the combine, pulling a Ratliff, Talib, etc....thats bad decision making.
In the second, hell yes, the first is a stretch only because we don't use a third LB that often and he wouldn't be a massive upgrade over Foster like Millner or Rhodes would be over Leonard Johnson.
If he is still sitting there late first do I go get him like we did with Martin....Yes.
