Umm.....We can afford this guy?

They can but they wont spend that much on their WRs. Williams is gonna want a pay day soon too.

Amendola would be awesome.

No doubt MW is going to want to get paid. I wouldn't be surprised if they did it this offseason. Amendola would be awesome indeed.

We'd be stupid to sign one. Draft a slot ---> saves $$$

If Welker's on the list, I'd toss Greg Jennings name in there as well. Played the slot roll a good bit and could fit any other receiver position as well. Also seems like a team guy, he'd love to stay in GB but understands it's a numbers game up there..  doesn't seem bitter, doesn't seem to be a guy who demands the ball.

Since we're talking about former Kent St. QB's that are now WR's, why not sign Spencer Keith as an undrafted free agent to play TE?  He's listed as 6'-3" / 215lbs... which means he's probably 6'-1" / 205 lbs.  It's not like there's not a history of Kent St players who've never played a position in college (Cribbs and Edleman... former QB's now WR's), or TE's... like Gates (who played basketball), and turn into a solid NFL player.  Just get the next guy in line... Spencer Keith.

I wouldnt call it stupid. A lot of the slot guys out of college dont convert well to the pros. Better make sure he can do it at this level. Which is the reason for signing one. At least you know he can do it at this level.

I would take Josh Cribbs. We need a slot guy and we need a returner. He makes the most sense.

I agree . That's my favorite name on the list.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Amendola, Welker will cost way too much.  Edelman is probably the most realistic option on that list.  Not sure Freeman has the accuracy/timing to make any slot WR effective, though.

Saw today that Denard Robinson is going to play slot receiver at the Senior Bowl. Should be fun to see.

Welker or bust. With this terrible coaching, we need great players to compete. Average players won't help us now.

It's ok JDub. Give it a year and you will figure it out. I really don't see how you can be so blind as to not see it right now.

JDub, you will have to put up with it during the offseason. I will give you the entire 2013 season to enjoy your team without having to endure my repetitive posts. Just like this past year. I said I would not post anything negative  for the remainder of this past season and I held my word. The season is over now. This is my time to blast some Schiano ass.
