I would be okay with that draft, but losing your 2nd and that late 4th to go back into the 'late' first round would be a bad trade. I'm not certain what the author is thinking about late (which I would consider to be 26th to 32nd and we made that trade a year ago and only lost a mid ranged 4th pick, not our 2nd round pick. We are picking a bit later this year, but I expect that we would still have kept our 2nd, perhaps had to trade our 1st 4th (keeping that late 4th almost 5th from the Pats) and perhaps a 6th to make that trade. If we had to trade our 2nd, I would have expected something at least a 4th back along with that 7th.

We traded our 2nd and fourth round picks last year for the Denver's first and fourth round picks (their fourth round pick being later in the round). Our second round pick with the fourth pick of the round last year, so we'd be moving up a quite a bit further in this scenario, hence the reason we get a 7th back rather than a 4th. Either way though, there'd be no way that we'd be able to trade back up into the first without giving up our second (or a later year's first, which is almost always a stupid move on the part of the team that does it.)
If we draft Woerner and let Bennett walk, Dominik will be fired at year's end after another mediocre year. With Bowers, Bennett, and Clayborne, why the hell are we even considering a defensive end when we are DREADFUL at corner, need another linebacker, and a right tackle.
