Bellicheat doesn't owe anyone anything, but he is one shrivelled up penis of a coach after losses, that is for sure (regarding pressers).  Dude is almost drunk with rage after losses.

How often does he sound happy after a win. I don't know why people feel entitled to hear him talk knowing he doesn't.

I agree BucfanNC12.  He doesn't owe anyone schlit anyway.  Media archetypes get so malevolent towards him, as if he should be more neopolitan, and less vanilla.  Bah.

Bellicheat is a human toolbox, I think he got caught cheating, I think he is the greatest head coach in the history of the NFL.  Winning Superbowls like that is rather remarkable, and is truly unforgettable.  But the man is a prick.

Glad to hear someone big enough say it, that the media actually has to write it.

Also, supremely stoked that the Pats are not going to the big game.

Patriots manage to outscheme weaker teams in the regular season and early playoff rounds, but against a talented team with more physically gifted players they will have trouble.

I agree he is a great coach.  But to me Paul Brown and Chuck Noll were better.

Truths:
1.  Never have an argument with an idiot.  They will drag you down to their level and then beat you with their experience.
2.  For some it would be better if they remained silent and be thought a fool than to speak and erase all doubt.

Since Belicheck took over:

Playoffs: 2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012

Div Champs:2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 2012

Conf Champs: 2001, 2003, 2004, 2007, 2011

Super Bowl Championships
2001 (XXXVI), 2003 (XXXVIII), 2004 (XXXIX)

I'd say there's plenty of reason to be arrogant. In the same category as Kobe, MJ, Tiger, Jack Nicklaus. Proven winners.

I'd say there's plenty of reason to be arrogant.

Only reason to ever be arrogant is to be a prick.  True badasses not only out perform everyone else, but are humble and sportsmanlike about it as well.

It's the Pats' right to be arrogant if they so wish, but we are just as entitled to think of them as pricks.

Also, I personally think that when you have won so much, it almost makes even less sense to be a loser crybaby when you lose.  I appreciate the passion for the game, and all, but losing gracefully is one way to be passionate about the game by acknowledging the other guys who play it.

Winners have a swagger. Confidence. They hate losing. Tiger never congratulated the winners. I doubt if Michael Jordan ever gave credit to his opponents.  If his team lost it was because he played poorly, not giving credit to the winner.  I don't think Bellicheck ever insulted the opponent as Suggs did.

As Warren Sapp used to say "Act Like You've Been There"

Clearly Suggs doesn't know how to act on the big stage. Hope the Niners hand the Ravens a ass=whoopin'.

Did people forget Bill cheated to win? Winner my arse the guy is a cheat and his character needs some work. Sportsmanship! I say all NFL coaches should walk away from Bill after every game.

I can't remember Belicheck being arrogant. If anything, the guy is stoic and keeps to himself and doesn't really boast much.

This is the prick who is arrogant, not Belicheck.

Starting in 2001, Bill Belichick went 70-26 (.729) before Spygate, and he's gone 76-20 (.791) since then -- including an entire season without Brady, his best player.  Belichick filmed practices to get a leg up ('legging-up' being something that every NFL coach did), and his winning percentage is higher since the hammer fell.

A few flukey Super Bowl plays, in my opinion, don't change his legacy.  Five championships would've certainly cemented his greatness, but the consistency that the Patriots have established in the modern era -- post Spygate -- speak volumes by itself.
