Lets say Ronde hangs it up this year.  Baltimore wont be bringing back Ed Reed because of their cap situation and that he is just about done.  Assuming Reed wants 1 more year, would we want him to come in and be a ball hawk safety and let Barron learn from him for a year?

He played ball in Miami and think he still lives in FL in the off-season.  Of course this would only be if the money he wants is decent.

Thoughts?

I think he retires with Ray Lewis.

I think he does if they win, but he wasnt on the 2000 team so he has no ring.  Chances are he wouldnt or we wouldnt, but I hadnt heard anyone bring him up yet so thought it was worth speculation.

Reed talks about retiring like every offseason, I could see him hanging it up no matter what.

Agreed, just wouldnt mind a 1 year deal and have Barron learning from a stud for a season.

+1

Bringing him here....no. I rather spend a season developing a player versus had him sit for a vet that'll be here a year.

His body is done...he played so violently the first half of his career that he just is a shell of his former self.  Now he is more ball hawk than a hitter.  I like the youth movement, but I think sprinkling in a few guys to teach our youngins couldnt hurt.
