He was a proven probowl player that went on to play several more years of Pro Bowl level football for the Broncos. Why the **CENSORED** would he need to compete with Jermaine "Forearm" Phillips? If he's healthy he starts. Period. The Broncos seem to understand it. Too bad Allen couldn't.

And if we hadn't given Booger McFattass all the money we wouldn't have had to let Sapp walk. He still played well for another three years in Oakland and had a 10 sack season. Pretty sure he was worth the money.

That was between he and Monty - who said he would have to compete for the job.  And that was coming on the heels of an injury concern that was giving Lynch 'burners' all too regularly.

And yes, the decision to sign Booger at a premium rate led to Sapp's departure.

if you take the beauty pageant probowl vote out of the picture and just look at actual production,

I know just what you mean. The only time the Pro Bowl is really relevant anymore is when some hypocrite is trying to use it to support their view. Lynch's Pro Bowl's at Denver were based on name recognition, not performance.

Illuminator is a good poster. He sticks to his guns and makes good points. Some don\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\'t like that.

Agreed on the last two in Denver, but Lynch earned his first two Denver Pro Bowls in '04 and '05.
