Mike is in the six to eight million per year range. I'm sure they'll go back and forth for awhile and eventually come to terms somewhere in that range.

Same exact thing can be said for Michael Bennett. There goes $12M to $16M of our cap space. Goes quickly don't it?

$8mil per year seems fair.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

That would pay him the same as Roddy....can't go that high.

Roddy White would get more than 8 million a year if he was a free agent this year.

Roddy's deal is four years old, which is like an eternity in contract negotiations. They'll be looking at the most recent signings like Laurent Robinson and Sidney Rice. Robinson got $6.5M a year and Rice got $8M.

Marques Colston signed a new deal last year for $7.2M though, and Robert Meachum averages $6.5M.

Pierre Garcon averages $8.5M.

Miles Austin averages $8.2M.

They'll probably wait until they see what guys like Austin Collie, Danny Amendola, Wes Welker, Dwayne Bowe, Victor cruz, Brian Hartline, Kevin Ogletree, and Mike Wallace get this off season.

From looking at the numbers, my guess would be that the new 2nd tier WR rate is about $7M a year.

@RCummingsTBO: The Bucs and WR Mike Williams have begun talking about a contract extension for the 2010 fourth-round draft pick.

I'm guessing it will be something like, 4 years, $24-26 million dollar extension.

If we are gonna throw out guesses.....5 years for $37M.

Bennett's will be almost identical.
