@RapSheet: #49ers LB Larry Grant (now a FA) suspended first 4 games of 2013 regular season for violating NFL policy on performance enhancing substances

Give up that hope now

Ok, 24 hours until the draft. This is my final 50 and my final mock. I usually feel in tune with what the Bucs are doing and who they like, but this year they haven't interviewed or worked out hardly anyone I like. So I am not expecting to get my usual 2-4 players from my favorite 50. I'll be happy if I get one! I also don't expect my mock to be anything close to reality, but it's what I want to see.

3. DE Bjoern Werner
4.  DE Cornellius Carradine
5.  CB Jamar Taylor

2nd Round

15.  DT Sylvester Williams

3rd Round

16. CB Leon McFadden
17. QB Tyler Wilson
18.  TE Gavin Escobar
19. CB/KR Robert Alford
20.  TE Vance McDonald
21. OLB Corey Lemonier
22.  QB EJ Manuel
23. CB BW Webb

4th Round

24. LB Khaseem Greene
25. DT Brandon Williams
26.  RB/KR Dennis Johnson
27.  DE Mike Catapano

28. C Brian Schwenke
29. LB Chase Thomas
30. RB Zac Stacy
31. WR Mark Harrison

5th & 6th  Round

32. LB Michael Clay
33.  WR Conner Vernon
34. FS Bacarri Rambo
35. DE Armonty Bryant
36. DE Devin Taylor

45. OT Ricky Wagner
46. TE Jake Stoneburner

48. WR Marcus Davis
49. WR Uzoma Nwachukwu
50. TE Philip Lutzenkirchen

Mock

2nd - CB Jamar Taylor

Not really. I list the guys at the value I perceive, not where I think they'll go. I don't think EJ Manuel will make it to the 3rd round either, but that is the round I think he belongs in.

Manuel is making it past the slew of QB starved teams at the top of the 2nd round. Agreed on the 3rd round grade but somebody is reaching.

I have a feeling the Eagles either take EJ Manuel with the 35th pick, or even trade up into the late 1st round to get him. Just a hunch.

2nd round: DT Jesse Williams - Alabama  (dominant run stuffer - run a 4.9 - still wish Dom trade down for a late 2nd or early 3rd round + a 2nd or 3rd round in 2014)
alt: CB  Johnthan Banks - Mississippi State
3rd round: OLB Sio Moore - UConn (good passrusher)
alt: TE Gavin Escobar - San Diego State
4th round: C/G/T Barrett Jones - Alabama (bring depth at C, G & T... may take Zuttah, Joseph, Penn or Dotson spot in 2014)
alt: G/T Brian Winters - West Virginia
4th round: CB/KR Robert Alford - Southeastern Louisiana
alt: CB/PR Tyrann Mathieu (huge gamble but Revis or Barber can be good mentor)
5th round: CB Sheldon Price - UCLA
alt: OLB Keith Pough - Howard
6th round: OT Luke Marquardt - Azusa Pacific
alt: DT Chris Jones - Bowling Green
6th round: K/P Quinn Sharpe - Oklahoma State (Field Goal, Kick-off & Punt... can do all... gamble a 6th round pick to free up $6M in cap space)
alt: OC T.J. Johnson - South Carolina

+
1) would like a little trade drown with our 4th/5th round pick to have one more pick in the 6th/7th round and take a DE
Quanterus Smith - Eric Martin - Devin Taylor - Stansly Maponga - John Simon - William Gholston - Michael Buchanan - Mike Catapano - Walter Stewart
2) take a RB if we can trade Blount for a 5th or 6th round pick this year or two picks(7th rd in 2013 & a cond. pick in 2014)
plenty of good prospect: Zac Stacy - Le'Veon Bell - Marcus Lattimore - Montee Ball - Spencer Ware  - Joseph Randle - Latavius Murray -  Stepfan Taylor

I think Barret Jones would be a great pick. I'm not a huge fan of Zuttah.

The way this draft is going, he'll probably be our next pick.

So We used our 1sr on Revis and that's cool. We used our 2nd on Banks, and while he isn't the CB I would have taken, he's a fine prospect and I'll stick with that pick. However, looking over the draft and how it worked out, the following is how I would of ran our draft this year. Feel free to play along. Should be fun to look back in a year or two and see what posters did better than the Bucs did in reality.

73rd - WR Stedman Bailey. People are tired of hearing be talking about Bailey. We'll just have to see what happens. I'm betting this would have been a steal in the 3rd round and 100x better value than our actual pick, Glennon.

100th - QB Tyler Wilson. The Eagles started the 4th round by trading up and taking Barkley. This was our cue to take a back up. Nassib was there, Dysert, Wilson, Landry Jones, and more. Glennon probably would have still been here too if we hadn't taken him in the 3rd, so he'd be an option as well. I'd have preferred Tyler Wilson. In any case, this is where we should have taken a QB.

126th - RB Stepfan Taylor I think Taylor is a top 5 RB in this draft, so this is a huge steal. We'll have to wait and see how this crop of RBs turn out, but after Monte Ball....my money is on Stefpan Taylor.

147th - DT Josh Boyd Every bit the prospect that Spence is. I don't mind the Spence pick, but Boyd is every bit as good if not better....and we aren't trading up for him because he is sitting there waiting when we pick. If we hadn't taken Spence at 100, he might still be here as well.

189th - DE Mike Catapano. We has the guy in for visits which had my hopes up, but then be draft Gholston, who I think is a lazy slug. I for one will be watching Gholston and Catapano's careers to see if we made the right decision. I think no. Also, I wouldn't have used our 7th to trade up and would have still gotten Catapano....so in the 7th I could have taken Jordan Poyer. Can't believe he slipped soooo far!

Undrafted Free agents....it's hard to say we should have signed this guy or this guy, but they are free agents and go where they want. So who knows if we tried and failed on some of these guys. But this is my list of UDFA and where they went.

Keith Pough, LB - Bills
Mark Harrison WR - Bears
*Jayson Dimanche, OLB - Bengals
Jake Stoneburner TE - Packers
Ray Graham RB - Texans
Dennis Johnson RB - Texans
Uzoma Nwachukwu, WR - Texans
A.J. Bouye, CB - Texans
Matt Scott, QB - Jags
*Michael Clay, LB - Dolphins
Robbie Rouse , RB - Vikings
Rodney Smith, WR - Vikings
Zac Sudfeld, TE - Patriots
Chase Thomas, LB - Saints
Rontez Miles, DB - Jets
Conner Vernon, WR - Raiders
Philip Lutzenkirchen, TE - Rams
