3 of the top 24 players in last years draft and people are still **CENSORED**ing???? Really????
The Bucs got at least two good players to be sure, but a big part of these rankings is only so many players had the opportunities to play significant snaps as rookies. In another year or two, lots of players who didn't play much last year could work their way into starting roles and prove to be better than other players already on this list.

That's too logical FRG.

Wow. You'd take Jenkins over David? That's crazy man.

JJ had a helluva season, but no, David was as good, and lesser chance of going astray.

\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\"

At the time, I wished we would have taken Stephen Gilmore instead of Barron. Now....I'm not a Barron hater, but I still rather have Gilmore.

did you watch a lot of bills games?  i definitely did not.  but i really didnt hear much about gilmore at all this year.

Kirkpatrick for me.

thats a LOT of faith in a guy that played in 5 games and had 4 tackles.

If I remember correctly, Troy Polamolu had somewhat a disappointing rookie year when he was first drafted out of SC. I don't think Barron will ever be Troy good but there's still a good shot he can turn it around.

Dude had a knee injury before the season started and was plagued by it all year....

Who is to say that he wouldn't have had the same knee injury with the Bucs and could have made some sort of contribution...

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

not me.  but overall, he's sitting at more of a bust than barron right now, right?

Yup. Gotta be on the field to contribute. If he(Kirkpatrick) can't stay healthy next year then he will be that much closer to being a complete bust.

Talent wise.

JJ > Dre

How can this be debated?  Honest question.

Carlos Dunlap instead of Brian Price in 2010 Trade up for Aldon Smith instead of Adrian Clayborn in 2011 Vontaze Burfict in 2012

i was moreso debating barron vs. the others.  being a UF guy, i liked JJ.  but drafting him early?  still not sure about that.  guy has red flags galore.  but again, i didnt watch any rams games.  was JJ solid, or was he a gambler?  i heard he was burned a lot, a la talib...but he certainly made some plays, thats inarguable.

DeCastro got hurt. But over time he will prove to be arguably the best Olineman in this draft. The Steelers will rebound next year. Mark my words.

I think Kalil will be.

Was directing that question to chace. My b.

I knew we weren't going to touch him because of his off field garbage. If Buc fans were presented with a top 3 of LK, DM and JJ instead of what we got, I wonder what percentage would choose the guys we got vs. The other three. Doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things because we have who have and its way too early to give up on Barron. (I'm not one of those folks)

I didnt watch any Rams game, except a NFLN game against Larry Fitz and the Cards. JJ was a glove. He pretty much handled Fitzgerald, but Kolb was garbage and the Rams pass rush was on it.

I'm not debating JJ vs. Kirkpatrick.

Jdub said that at the time he wanted Gilmore and still would rather have selected Gilmore. I felt the same about Kirkpatick and still do. Talent-wise, yea JJ is probably better. When looking at the whole picture, there is a reason why Kirkpatrick was taken well before JJ. Kirkpatrick is still an unknown. He suffered a knee injury early and the Bengals should have just put him on IR...but they kept trying to practice him and he kept having setbacks. I still think he will be a good player, but he's gotta get healthy and stay that way.
