I can't remember who it was who said the case he makes for a HOFer is - "can the history of the NFL for the period a player played be written without mentioning that player?"

If that is the standard, then Sapp certainly deserved first ballot induction.  He was the engine behind the Tampa Two, which blossomed across the NFL after the Buc's success. 

Way to go Warren, you deserved it. 

By the way, has anyone else here read Sapp Attack?  If not, I would reccomend it.  Good read, especially  this week.

Sapp deserved it. Glad what he did on the field overcame the bitterness some media types had for him.

I can only assume DB is an easy first balloet because of his obvious greatness on the field and his personality. Unless people get all goofy about him not being a pass rushing LB.

If that's the definition, then Alstott needs to be in the Hall of Fame as well.    He was the definition of a running fullback for that period of time.

I wish Hardy had stayed with the Bucs for the rest of his career.  If he had, we might be looking at him as another HOFer.
