It would have been awesome to have Kuechly and David as linebackers on the same D.    The Bucs desperately need a guy like Kuechly to lead this D.   He was sitting there are their pick and they took the 2nd best safety in the draft instead.

I have to agree it would be incredible to have Kuechly & David, that's an excellent point.

the Bucs don't have any leaders like Kuechly.   He would have been a huge difference maker on the Bucs D.    Barron is nothing special.

A little early in Barrons' career to make that statement.  I think Barron will be special in the future.

We knew we would get David a lot cheaper than Kuechly, while already having Foster. Trading down was part of this plan, maybe not getting the best out of our 7th pick is relative. Having Kuchly on the bench waching Foster and David play would have been a bigger waste than having an average Barron fill a hole at SS. Its not like our pass defense is above average and Barron was beat out by the guys already on our team. D Jackson did not even catch one single  pass in the NFL, Caddy is a FA.  Barron is one the best at his position on THIS team, those guys are not.
