IIRC Didn't Osi have a bit of an issue with Sheridan?

Yes, he does. Admittedly, it's a "want" that's not all that realistic.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

Bring Osi and his entourage. Obviously he's a baller.

As a OLB yeah, but put him back at DE he's a double digit sack leader. I think Freeney is the bookend to the D-line. Bring on the corner situation.
I'm skeptical that he's still got double digit sack seasons in him at this point in his career, even at DE.  But that's not to say that he couldn't still be a very useful player.  He'd also provide a veteran presence that the line is kind of lacking right now.

He had 8.5 the year before they switched to a 3-4 defense. His first year in that defense he still got 5 sacks. If not for the ankle injuries I think both years he has double digits. He's not what he use to be but still a huge threat rushing the passer and with all the Big DEs Tampa has that come with power..adding a little speed would complete it.

He's playing for The Ring.

(last 4 teams to play in Philly's home opener have gone on to win the SB. SD plays the Philly opener in 2013)
