ESPN's John Clayton believes the Seahawks could be a potential landing spot for free agent DE/OLB Dwight Freeney.Freeney is coming off the worst season of his career after making the switch to outside linebacker in the Colts' new 3-4 defense, and is not expected to be back in Indy. "If you're (Seattle), you call Dwight and say, 'Listen, if you're going to get big money in free agency, God love you, we support you 100 ways. But if indeed you struggle a little bit and need to take a little bit of a flier on a team, look at this team,'" Clayton thought out loud. Two weeks shy of his 33rd birthday, Freeney's market is hard to forecast, but we don't doubt he'll be looking to latch on with a 4-3 team.
Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.
Maybe 5 years ago...Guys irrelevant now.
I didn't think this draft was heavy on corners. I believe the Bucs need to address corner in FA. Jenkins, Grimes, DRC. One of those or maybe even two. Then draft BPA
Desperately wants out.... No. Does he really want to stay probably not but at this point of his career they both wont have many options....
