If they sign Revis they can shut Mike down with double coverage. Assuming we still don't have a #3 we worth a damn the passing game will be toast.

The Falcons do not have the cap space to sign Revis to a long term contract. While they are almost 16 million under the cap they still have to sign Ryan to a long term deal and Julio will want a new contract too.

Don't forget Matt Ryan who will get a Flacco contract soon, they can't afford all 3 of those players getting long term extensions in the same year

Here's his contract information (roto)

9/6/2010: Signed a four-year, $46 million contract.
The deal contains $32.5 million guaranteed, including all of Revis' first two base salaries and an $18 million first-year option bonus.
The contract stipulates that Revis cannot be franchise tagged when his deal voids following the 2013 season.

2013: $3 million (+ $1 million workout bonus + $1 million roster bonus due 3/16 + $1 million reporting bonus), 2014-2016: (Voidable Years) $3 million, 2017: Free Agent

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

i would be beyond pissed if we give up a 1st for revis. too much money, too much risk. let him go elsewhere. he aint going to the falcons and thats for sure. they dont have the cap space to sign him and sign ryan to a new deal in the next year

Hi everyone, didn't expect to be back till next week but I got woken up this morning to a text that says, buccs fans need pay close attention to the revis headlines.
The jets are going to trade him, the 49ers and Broncos are alive in the race but "mah source" tells me that the mystery team pursuing revis is the eagles, however my guy says he has reliable and creditable sources that say that "Tampa" is the team that has made a very substancial offer. Take it for what its worth I'm just bringing u what I was told. Stay tuned for more updates.

Apparently philly will only part ways with namdi if they can get revis, or theyl keep him sources say.
Falcons don't have cap room to pull a deal off and niners are lukewarm at best on revis, its the broncos that have been the most aggressive so far.

Really wanna pull this deal off for #13, blount and a pick next year then go sign smith in free agency. Cb would be set then throw 9 million a year at Goldson and the secondary set.  Jmo

I am not suggesting, predicting or reporting this, but... I am starting believe it's very realistic Bucs could pull off a Darrelle Revis deal."

I have sources that says Revis is getting traded. Just dont know where yet. The Bucs are a team interested in bringing in corners since they were last in league vs the pass. Revis is a corner. Therefore the Bucs are interested. Who are my sources?? Myself. Great source.

1st round pick is to  much. I'll give a 2nd this year and conditional next year or a 2nd this year and blount. Anything more than that is to much for a guy coming off a major knee surgery.

The Eagles just released Nnamdi Asomugha this morning. So either the Eagles have a deal for Revis or your sources are faulty. Time will tell.

I should also add that I do not believe this will happen.
