A report out of New York says the #Bucs already have the parameters of a deal worked out with Revis. $12-$13 million per year, but... The hold up on any Revis deal is that the Jets want the #Bucs 13th pick in this year's draft.
How can that be ? We can't talk to him.

It's pretty much tampering. But Florio says its done a lot. Its unlikely the Bucs would be devoting this much time and energy to a trade unless they were reletively certain Revis would agree to the terms.

Why is everyone so against giving up this years first round? who have we drafted in the first round in the last 10 year that is even close to Revis's talent? I doubt Rhodes and Milliner will be superstars and they couldnt even hold Richard Shermans jockstrap

Well, I guess you could tie in the glazers bro coming out and saying they need to play better defense, to signing/trading revis.

Otherwise, it just sounds silly. Something tells me they already have him in pocket and it just hasn't been announced yet.

I mean, who exactly goes around d saying they need to get better on defense when they just let three starters walk? Something almost has to be up.

Irrelevant.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

The relevance being we don't have a very good track record drafting in the first round.

The last five first round picks are all starters, Doug Martin, Mark Barron, Adrian Clayborn, Gerald McCoy and Josh Freeman.

With the rookie cap, young guys on a first contract are too valuable to trade for a player that gets 12-13m per year.

Doug martin- Great player but lets not get too excited because we all blew our loads early on Caddy
Mark Barron- Didnt really impress me this year but I believe he has all the tools/talent to be great in this league
Adrian Clayborn- Huge fan of his but his erb palsy and season ending injury last year scares me
Gmac- Great player when healthy but 2 season injuries vs 1 healthy season is concerning
Josh Freeman- I hope this kid succeeds but lets face it no wanted him in 2009 and he might be playing for the cardinals this time next year

The last GOOD draft was 1995 courtesy of Sam Wyche. you may be right in the contract/money aspect of things but talking about the talent aspect of things, the bucs aren't too great at finding it in the first rounds.

...or it's just complete BS like every other tidbit of information that's come from the media on this topic....

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.
