$8m a year for Cox is too much.

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Too costly in cap and in picks. Too much risk depending on one player. Better to use the cap and the picks on several players. We could get two or three starters as well as a few backups instead. Revis would be a bad move IMO.

Revis: 13M/yr
Smith: 8m/yr
Goldson: 8m/yr

That doesn't leave us with a hell of a whole lot.
We don't need Smith if we get Revis. I'd roll with Lewis and a rookie.

Doesn't matter.  The Falcons are a 9-7 (at best) if Gonzalez doesn't return. He keeps their offense moving. And if you think he doesn't improve that offense by 4 at least 4 wins, you're delusional. That's why they want him back so bad.
They won 11 games without him in 2008. He's not the player he used to be. He can barely get open anymore; he just has really good hands and can shield defenders away from his catching zone.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

I'd love to re-read the original "Mah Sources" thread but can't find it.

Just In: Jest are "Unlikely" to receive 1st Round Compensation for Darrell Revis

Evan Silva ‏@evansilva
ESPN's Ed Werder says the #Jets are "unlikely" to get a first-round pick in exchange for Darrelle Revis: http://www.rotoworld.com/player/nfl/4155/darrelle-revis

Which means we may trade for Revis and only give up  a 2nd and 4th, 2 2nds or 2nd and a 3rd

This is very good for us as we would still be able to keep our first round pick and get Revis

There we go keep driving down the asking price. hell we are going to have to pay him a kings ransom anyway might as well give up as less draft picks as possible.

The Bucs should offer their 2nd round pick for Revis. I don't think there is a team that is willing to offer a 1st, considering the injury and the contract implications. I would hate for Revis to end up in Atlanta.

If we are getting Revis for 2 2's, grab Trufant in the first and a prove it deal to delmas and we might be set

Send this years 2nd and a conditional pick (as high as a first) for Revis if you've already agreed on a contract where he maximizes payment with escalators.

It's just unlikely that they'll get less than one first round pick for him. And I'm fine with giving up one if I know he's playing we'll and healthy.
