I don't think it's going to happen at all. Was a nice thought, though. I just hope we can get Milliner.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Peter King:

3. I think I still wouldn’t trade Darrelle Revis if I were the Jets. And I think New York GM John Idzik will try to find a way to not trade Revis. But in the end, I believe he’ll go to Tampa Bay for two high draft choices sometime before draft day.

Go get Bridgewater.   Do what it takes.

Peter King: throwing **CENSORED** at the wall since '96 (at least).

I think it will happen at the draft.

I mentioned this in the Beatles chat a lil while back that I think it will happen on draft day, and for much less than originally anticipated, much like the Randy Moss deal to New England a few years back where he was had for a 4th. Something in my gut tells me a contender will take a flyer on him as a 1 year rental for maybe a 2nd or 3rd, with a conditional pick involved in some way......Or maybe we get him on draft day for LGB and a pick when the Jets have zeroed in on a guy they really like and need to move around a bit to acquire said player.

Peter King also said we were going to get Favre. Just saying, I wouldn't take his words as gold. 2 things I'll say though

1) Jets can cut Cromartie next year and be off the books with his 10+ million dollar salary. His contract then frees up more cash to extend Revis before he walks as a FA.
2) The Jets had an excellent pass defense without Revis.

I think the Jets want to wait and see how the draft goes. The Jets will pick the best scenario about, and hopefuilly its number 2.

@NFLSTROUD: Doesn't look as though CB Brent Grimes is going to be a Buccaneer, according to someone with knowledge of the situation.

I could have told you that weeks ago....

It's clearly Revis or bust.

After @NFLSTROUD's report that #Bucs won't get Brent Grimes...Could mean a Revis trade could be imminent?  Grimes was the backup plan

Well I'm sure Dom told Grimes we were getting revis soon so he could look elsewhere. It was always Revis or bust. Non of these FA CBs were/are worth their weight in manure.

If we wanted to sign Grimes, we would've.

I'm not sure why we didn't. But clearly we didn't.

id say a combination of asking price, injury history, age, size, and style of play.
