People need to stop bumping this thread, and just let it die. It's not getting to 600 pages.

JD, I think you're just looking for a reason to not like Banks. Its almost like you are trying too hard to be the smartest guy in the room or something. :p

Bro, I typically agree with 60% of what you post, but i dont think Banks' weight will be an issue for him. If he sucks, it'll be because he gambles to.much or teams will try to exploit his lack of deep speed (when we don't give him help over the top). I could be wrong,  though.

Lastly, who would you consider tall and slender NFL CBs the past decade or so? 6'0+ and what....under 200lbs?

Here's another first impression on Banks: He's BIG. Looks heavier and taller than he's listed, if you ask me.

Talk about Revis Island all day every day.

There is a hushed silence nowadays when I talk about the Bucs.  None of that light hearted banter and water cooler respect for my Bucs.  There is genuine fear.  They know whats up.

All I am doing is listing the roster, and saying if these guys can communicate, get along, and ballout for a tyrant head coach who wants desperately to win and that is all, then they will be a force to be reckoned with.  And they get quiet because when they hear it out, they know whats up.  There is respect given to the Bucs.  Because there is a lot of JELLY on them sammiches lately.

Love it.

Goldson, Revis?  Pinch me.  I cannot believe they got Revis.  With the history, it almost seems to be a dream still.

Banks?  Dude is strong for a wiry dude.  His core is strong as hell, I am willing to bet.  He loves riding horses, so that about tells me he is much stronger than advertised.  And his turnovers in the SEC are stunning.  GREAT pickup.

It is hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact that there are detractors because he is lithe, and wiry.  He hits, willingly.  He plays faster than combine results suggest.  He is a teammate that gathers the respect of other teammates.  Great attemp at shoring up the corners.  If he pans out, the Bucs may have another Ronde Barber on the team.

So first, Banks is way too slow....now, he doesn't weigh enough for as tall as he is...

Picky picky.

So let's bust that theory, shall we?

Johnthan Banks. 6-2. 185lbs. That's essentially 2.5lbs per inch.

Now let's look at several other CBs who are at least 6' tall and under 200lbs.

Richard Sherman. 6-3. 195lbs. 2.6lbs per inch
Cary Williams. 6-1. 190lbs. 2.6lbs per inch
DRC. 6-2. 182lbs. 2.45lbs per inch
Champ Bailey. 6-0. 192lbs. 2.66 per inch
Chris Culliver. 6-0. 199lbs. 2.76 per inch
Stephen Gilmore. 6-0. 190lbs. 2.63 per inch
Carlos Rogers. 6-0. 199lbs. 2.76 per inch

So...Richard Sherman is less dense per inch than Bailey, Culliver, Gilmore, and Rogers...some how, some way..he has overcome.

All this nitpicking of his measurements is absurd, IMO.

Until preseason, you stay classy Red Board.

Darrelle Revis in his new Bucs uniform (Photo)

Darrelle Revis’ marketing and buisness manager John Geiger, posted a picture of his client in his new Buccaneers uniform.

Looks like Revis got the number 24 from Mark Barron.

\\\\\\\"Java, do you understand this a perfect example of why people beg me to suspend or ban you on a daily basis? Are you actually trying to make a point? Seriously what is the reason for even commenting. In fact why do you even bother coming to the boards? What happened to the intelligent poster from years ago?  A real shame. Like the Bucs yesterday, a wasted effort.\\\\\\\"

He would look great in the creamsicle uni's too.  It would be nice if they break out the creamsicles for that Monday night game when Warren gets his number retired.

Bucs          48

Dolphins    10

Revis picks off Tannehill 3 times, takes 2 to the house.
