Can you imagine how nasty our secondary would be with the players in place AND Revis?  And then the BUcs draft a big CB at pick 13, secondary issues are completely resolved.  Just sign some depth, or pray thast Johnson gets better quick withone years experience in the NFL.

NFL ATL reports 1st rd pick is sticking point.

Bucs wants to give up 2014 1st, not this years.

Interesting

I would give this years #1  But not much more.

It might be used for a CB anyway, so why not get Revis?

Next years #1 is a differant story.   We need to keep that , in case Freeman implodes.

It's time to bluff the Jets.....if we act like we're done and looking elsewhere they will panic. It's clear we are the only partner they have.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

If we get Revis...we won't be drafting a CB at 13...mark my word. Even if we sign a different CB...we won't be drafting a CB at 13...maybe in round 2 (unless we trade that for Revis) or round 3. I for one am willing to give up my 2nd this year or maybe a 1st next year but no way do they get our 2nd this year and our 1st next year. I hate giving up future 1st round picks or 1st round picks in general. I'd almost rather roll with one of the other CBs available...but if healthy Revis can be special. I hope we hold out for just a 2nd and maybe an extra mid round pick. Obviously nobody has offered a 1st round pick so far or he would have been traded already. As long as all the other CBs are out there...Revis has a lower value and I make the Jets sweat it out and try to get Revis without giving up a 1st rounder.

I'm on board with that.

Johnson = meh

Couldn't tackle Danario Alexander, 80 yard TD
Couldn't tackle Julio Jones, 76 yard TD
"Wasn't even looking" as WR caught TD in Denver

That's in 1/2 year!

EJ Biggers / better

The same Bucs source indicated Tampa Bay might be more willing to surrender its 2014 first-rounder

That is probably the most idiotic, harebrained, franchise damaging idea i've heard in awhile.

Its going to look to some people like a different play every time we use it, but pretty soon theyll be able to recognize it....by watching the official for the first-down signal.   -Vincent T. Lombardi

I'd give them our first this year. And our third next year with Blount and Benn.

I would trade a 1st rounder for Revis. This secondary sucked last year, the fact Dom will not budge makes me wounder if maybe he already has a deal in place to trade up or down in the draft with this years first.

I might trade our 2nd and Bount and Benn...but not our first and them. I wouldn't trade just our 1st round pick for him. He's coming off a major injury and he's going to want major money and the Jets only have him for 1 more year and then he walks. After next year, the Jets get nothing for Revis. Shoot...if they are going to hold out for a first...then I will just make the Jets think we can wait till next year and throw a ton of money at Revis...if we don't sign someone this year.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

Would not like to see a 1st in any year go for this trade.  If not coming off injury, perhaps its more tolerable. IMO
