In all honesty I really don't even want Revis. I mean the guy would obviously be a huge addition here. My concern is Revis' character. He is always complaining about his contract. What are the chances he gets big money then shuts it down. It is a slippery slope with this guy, IMO. We are trying to build character with this team.

Mike tannebaum said Revis was the heart and soul of the locker room and made everyone around him better. Also added he out worked everyone on the practice field and in the gym. So what if the guy likes to get paid, he's going to so that's that.

If its a first this year holding it up, let it go. Who would pass up on Revis for the chance to draft another Micheal Clayton Caddilac Williams Gaines Adams at whatever position?

It's not like we are giving up a chance to draft a franchise QB.

I want Jarvis Jones alot but I'll survive if he got a elite NFL player instead.

Not for this years number one or next years either. Love the player but the cost is far to much. Go with Grimes and another CB and then draft  either Rhoades, Trufant @ 13 or Banks in the 2nd.  .

Revis WILL get paid. Knee or not. Whether on the Bucs or not. The man is going to strike it rich.

Might as well be us. He will easily be the best corner from a skills/talent standpoint in Bucs history from the moment he steps in the door (I love you Ronde), bar none.

That is a man you pay. He instantly changes this defense

If dude passes the physical he's worth more than a first rounder.

A Revis and Goldson secondary would be sick in the pass-happy NFC South. You can understand why the Bucs are wanting to do this.

And honestly corners talk too much crap to shut it down. That position requires attitude and ego more than anything, so getting beat is not something the great ones will let happen.

We shouldn't worry about him cashing in.

Not saying I don't want him here, just saying that I don't think you need to give in to a 1st to get him.  If there was more competition for him maybe it would be a different story, but from most accounts its the bucs or nothing at this point.  Bucs have leverage, play poker.

I don't think we need to give up a first either... I would not give up this years first unless it was straight up #13 for Revis (which would never happen)

The risk is, if we play poker too long, there is a chance we will miss out on every Free Agent cb worth signing... And still don't get revis for whatever reason

Your mortgaging the future. If the Bucs were a player or 2 away from the Super Bowl then I'd be all in.

Too steep a price both in compensation to the jets and salary here. Im not going to complain if we get him, but if we give up our first this year or next I will be a little disappointed.

I heard Revis injured his knee.  Is that true?

I'm thinking a first is already on the table for Revis and its not ours. Idzik is waiting for us to to either call his bluff or put ours up.
