I'm in the cellphone lot at TIA. A flight just came in from New York!  IT IS A JET!!!

Heading up to short-term parking to see if it's him!

We will be Carolina ready when we are Carolina ready.

A jet at the airport?!?  Something is amiss, please do investigate further.

I was wondering what was up with the lack of April fools jokes on the Red Board this year. Guess they are all in the Revis Thread.  LOL

Quick update on the earlier airport sighting:

Short-term parking was chock full of spring breakers and holiday travelers. By the time I go a spot and made my way to the shuttle, Revis must have already got out.  At least, I didn't see any of the passengers wearing a helmet.

But, as I was leaving, I spotted a stretch limo! Had to be him, right? Man was that window tint dark! I followed to the Hampton Inn in Ybor. The valet waved the limo on to a side entrance, but he stopped me.  I didn't want to pay for parking, so I'm parked on 7th Ave.  That valet is giving me the eye. I need to pull around the corner... and I gotta pee, too.

We will be Carolina ready when we are Carolina ready.

John Clayton Mailbag

Q: I have a Tampa Bay question. I've been a fan ever since the late John McKay era. What is your gut feeling about Darrelle Revis to the Bucs? Do you think if Tampa doesn't get Revis it would drop down to get DE Margus Hunt from SMU in the lower part of Round 1? The Bucs spent a long time interviewing him, and if they pick up another second-rounder do you think they would pick two CBs in Round 2 and another DL in Round 3?

George in Alba, Texas

A: I think they will end up getting Revis before the draft. They are the most logical team. They could trade a No. 1 pick and a mid-round pick to get him. They have the cap room to handle a new contract for Revis. It's a great fit. The Bucs also need help along the defensive line. By keeping the first-round pick this year, the Bucs can get some help at either tackle or defensive end. I'm not sold a trade-down is the answer. Draft the best player possible.

According to Adam Schein when Woody Johnson interviewed GM finalists he made it clear: "You must trade Darrelle Revis"

At the same time, the NY media "demands" that Tampa give up at least a #1 and a #2 or #3.    Which Tampa will most likely and unbelievably oblige.

Its going to look to some people like a different play every time we use it, but pretty soon theyll be able to recognize it....by watching the official for the first-down signal.   -Vincent T. Lombardi

On ESPN First Take today. NY fans expressed that loosing Revis would be the worst scenario for a struggling Jets team. They said that Revis is the very best and loosing him would crush NY. I'd like that I can't lie.

They should just cut their losses, forget about Revis, and let Myron Lewis do his thing.
