Fasano is definitely a Schiano type guy.  He's not an elite weapon but a solid two-way TE that would be a fit for this offense.  If we don't land Bennett I think he'd be a good fit.

Guy has been a good not great TE for years. No one will standup and cheer but you are right, nice fit for what we do. Bennett, as much as I like his blocking, still scares me as a pass catcher because he's a one year (contract year) wonder and I suspect someone is gonna overpay for him.

All posts are opinions in case you are too stupid to figure that out on your own without me saying it over and over.

Agreed.  Nothing special, but a solid NFL TE in all facets.

Myers is a much better pass-catcher than Stocker, but Stocker is a better blocker.  Completely opposite players, really.

ive never watcher myers play, so im gonna cherry pick a little here.

myers runs a 4.8 and caught 32 passes over his first 3 years in the NFL, played in 42 games.
stocker runs a 4.7 and caught 28 passes over his first 2 years, played in 30 games.

so what changed in myers 4th year?

Coaching staffs and playing time would be the first answers I'd give.  Myers played over 1000 snaps in 2012, while playing a combined 706 in his first three seasons.

If anything, Brandon Myers may be hope that Luke Stocker could turn into a good player if he was given the chance. My main problem with him is that he seems very stiff and unathletic, so he couldn't make those tough catches. Things could change though.

Ummm. Brandon Myers had 79 receptions for 806 yards and 4 touchdowns in 2012 as per ESPN.  So Biggs, I guess you missed Doug Martin's top 10 all time performance out in Oakland in which Myers also had 2 TD's.  check the stats, the dude was money in Oakland this year.

half of myers TD's came against our defense?  hurting his stock imo.  3 seasons of less than stocker output, 1 season of winslow.  im not sure what is impressive about this guy.  sure, he had a nice season.  but what would he do for us?

I would make a run at Bennett, unless he wants crazy money.  Back up plan, Fasano.

Should have signed Jake Ballard like I said. He'll probably be healthy and ready to go by camp this year.
