Mayock's newest rankings. EJ Manuel is now the #2 QB in the draft. Heard him talking about it on NFL network. He said he doesn't like this year's QB crop, but if he's going to make a mistake.....he's going to make a mistake with the guy who has all the physical skills you could want. Exactly how I feel. I don't think there is a QB in this draft worth a 1st round pick, but if I'm taking one it's going to be EJ simply because he has the most upside.

I think that is how you draft Josh Freeman 2.0  I want the mental skills far more than physical tools.
I think that is how you draft Jimmy Clausen 2.0.

You both give Manuel way too much credit ...

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

The interesting thing is the team has reportedly either met with or interviewed all of the 3-4 rush outside linebackers except for Mingo....

In Football, RESPECT is never given freely by your opponent. It must be TAKEN from them...VIOLENTLY

Great players cost a lot of money but help win games. High-priced players - a byproduct of poorly run front offices with bad scouting departments - only cost a lot of money.

Watching the highlights on DE Ezekial Ansah (BYU) he kinda reminds of JPP or Aldon Smith. Relentless pass-rusher.

This kid has 8 starts and appears to be a more methodical player than an instinctive one. I'll pass.

You can't count out the Bucs taking Syracuse QB Ryan Nassib. Schiano tried and failed to recruit him to Rutgers and is very familiar with him. I'm not being a Homer but I like EJ Manuel and Nassib the most of this QB draft class.

I've followed less college football than probably anyone on this forum and only know anything based off draft coverage, but I'd bet up to three dollars that Manuel goes in the first round. The rookie contracts just make it too easy of a gamble to take on QBs.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

I find this interesting as well.  I think they are looking for a pass rushing specialist at SLB (like Cushing or Miller)...

Then they need to look at Jarvis Jones.

Boom. Score one for not watching any college games and knowing nothing about any of the players!

Yeah. It's Mayock, and the Bills, and me, and everyone else that is stupid.

Draft Aaron Donald

Everyone else .....really ? LOL

No QB's go in the 1st if the Bills weren't the clueless idiots they are when it comes to picking QB's. You yourself said he's a 3rd round project who is going to flame out if he is thrown in as a starter right away. That's precisely what the Bills are going to do after reaching for him in the 1st round. Sit back and watch the dumpster fire . The guy sucks.

I did think he was a 2nd or even 3rd round prospect, but I also think he's the best QB in this draft.....and the best QB in the draft has added value. Especially when you have zilch at the QB position. I think it was a good pick for them, but I think they should still take Nassib in the 2nd round if they can. Let there be a true competition. Double their chances of having a valid starter.

...and Doloris, how is it you always accuse me of thinking I know more than the experts, but you can sit here and pretend you know better than the Bills franchise and Mike Mayock? Please. I think I'll side with those two and my own personal gut feeling over you "expertise" .

Side with whoever you please,  we'll see who is right in 3 years. Manuel was a god awful pick in the 1st.

16 was too early for manuel. if a qb run had started in the 20s then i could see it but the Bills jumped up way too far. its the bills, they make a great move with the trade back and then go and select a guy too early. if they were smart theyd have taken a WR or something at 16 and then traded back into the 1st if they really decided they didnt want to wait on manuel. their choice is made now and they have to live with it
