i like the idea of sammie lee hill we need DTs and hes got great size to play at nose tackle if we let miller walk. tony carter is probably a nickel at best. he had an unremarkable career at FSU and hes a bit small, he is fast though and could be had for a cheap contract. i bet denver keeps him

IMO hill is better.
Seems like we've been trained by the glazers to think cheap. Because that's all I hear from hardcore fans these days.We bought three very expensive FAs last season and are still well below the cap. When do we let up on the brakes?
I think you might be mistaking cheap for spending wisely. That $120M cap disappears real fast when you start giving guys huge deals. You gotta remember there are 53 guys on the roster and you have to have money for all of them. When you top 3 players are eating up over half of your entire salary cap, you don't have much left to pay the other 50 guys. You really do have to penny pinch and be smart, or you will be in real trouble.
yeah seriously, Mike Williams and Michael Bennett alone will be like 15 million a year5 million is reserved for rookiesso that leaves about 10 million left, and I doubt that we're going to be spending near the full amount of the capwe could pretty much swap Wright's contract with some other CB, and have 10 million leftthat 10 million could go very quickly, there's not a lot of room for an impact player
