Ticket Sales Summer Intern - Tampa Bay Buccaneers (Tampa, FL)

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization works collaboratively with colleges to offer internships to highly motivated and committed students who wish to build upon their college education with practical work experience in the fast-paced, results driven world of the National Football League.

The internship program is a comprehensive and flexible strategy of applied learning incorporated into the college curriculum to enable the student to define, evaluate and achieve career-related objectives. This learning is based upon supervised work experiences in departments throughout the organization.

The internship program offers students opportunities for personal, technical and professional development and practical, “hands on” experience working under the guidance of our department heads. Students learn technical skills, knowledge and behaviors critical to successful performance on the job. We accept candidates from all major areas of study for internships; however, Business Administration or Finance is ideal.

The Ticket Sales Intern will gain experience by supporting the Ticket Sales Department with the day-to-day operations in the areas of Season Ticket, Group, Stadium Club, and Luxury Suite Sales. The intern will receive practical training in these areas and will also gain hands on experience selling Full season and Group ticket packages for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The Ticket Sales Intern responsibilities include the following:
 • Maintain records and files.
 • Learn the techniques used in prospecting and acquiring new customers through both inside and outside sales.
• Learn how to utilize the Ticketmaster Archtics software.
 • Learn and utilize Salesforce.com CRM.
• Understand the payment system and assist with processing payments and requests.
 • Serve as a liaison between Ticket Sales and other internal departments.
 • Handle departmental shipping and distribution of packages/parcels.
 • Respond to inbound and in-person Sales inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner.
• Assist with the coordinating fulfillment and distribution of all mailings.
 • Assist with all box office duties during game day.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate should have:

• The ability to receive academic credit for the internship.
 • Current enrollment in an accredited College or University preferably obtaining a degree in Sports Management, Business or a related field.
 • Housing available in the Tampa Bay area.
 • The ability to work long and flexible hours during the work week and Buccaneers home football games and Buccaneers events.
 • Proficiency in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).
 • The desire to have a career in Sales in professional sports.
 • An outgoing personality and a professional demeanor.

Note: When you apply for this job online, you will be required to answer the following questions:

1. Are you currently an enrolled college student?
 2. Will you receive academic credit for this internship?
 3. Do you have available housing in the Tampa area?

If you're willing to work hard in the heat, you can get hired by Gale Insulation in Oldsmar, especially if you have a valid drivers license and Social Security number. It's not the best job in the world, but it is a job.
