BUCS NEWS

STATEMENT: GREG SCHIANO AT COMBINE
Tampa Bay Buccaneers ‏@TBBuccaneers
Coach Schiano, at the Combine: "I'm happy for Chip Kelly and I think he's going to do a great job (in Philadelphia)."
Coach Schiano feels more comfortable at this Combine than last year bc he's had more of an opportunity to get on the same page w/M.Dominik.
Coach Schiano says the 4th-round pick the Bucs got from New England could be very useful in draft-day trades, as was the case last year.

Freeman needs to let plays die, huh?  Funny, I saw dozens of them go tits-up late in the season.

Right. If no one is open, check it down, scramble for a few yards or throw it away. No point in forcing something.

It was strange thing this year, we have two big physical receivers that can out jump people but no one will ever accuse them of creating to much space between themselves and the DB. Tight coverage with a QB with apparent accuracy issues is not a good thing. We saw this towards the end of the year when teams starting shutting down the deep ball.
