Last year I had no expectations on FA and was pleasantly surprised. This year I maybe should keep the expectations low and maybe the same results happen?? Ill go with that.

Lol...

Thanks for the calibration BB!  :)

My expectations are now lowered.

Getting Sean Smith would be nice. Sounds expensive though.

Maybe slightly more than what Wright got per year, but we would actually have a CB worth a damn.

Actually the problem isnt that Freeman stinks. He is average. He puts up good numbers just often enough to make you think he is better than he is. Bad and great are convincing. But mediocre makes you live with the delusion for too many years. He is just good enough to waste our time and not good enough to get us where we want to go.

I think Sean Smith will cost around $10M a year. Doubt he is worth it, but desperate times call for desperate measures so well see. If we sign him I can see him being great for us, but I can just as easily see him as the next Eric wright type disappointment. Time will tell.

Smith fits what we like in a cb an is only 24 and will only get better. Wright never was that good and we gave him a joke of a deal. Don't think wright is in the class of talent smith is

It is the only way. I personally put responsibility on the fans to keep expectations low so that the opposite happens. Maybe we make that a memo for the rest of the message board. lol

Certainly not us.

Smith has been as bad as or worse than Wright the last couple years. The only advantages he has are size and not being on adderall. Either way, he's no more worth the contract than Wright was.

Eric wright has been a bum his whole career except one year with the lions than he got paid. Smith is no where near as bad as wright. When you watch the tape and smith is on bigger wr's which we need he succeeds. How can you expect him to cover guys like welker. He's meant for big physical wr's

Go watch the dolphins colts game.. He got beat like a rented mule all game. He's ok but nothing great. I would take him over Wright but that's only because I don't like Wright. He has the measurables you want in a big corner but he struggles against the quick receivers. He cant catch either, his first years with the Dolphins he couldn't catch a beach ball thrown at him underhand.

Pretty convinced our top target is Smith.
