Sports radio shock jock Dan Sileo, let go by Tampa's WDAE-AM last March, was fired again less than a year later, this time by a South Florida station.
 
WQAM-AM announced Sileo's firing in a Twitter post Monday.
 
"Dan Sileo is no longer at 560 WQAM. We wish him well," the tweet read.
 
After arriving at WQAM, Sileo fell under fire for sexist tweets aimed at Fox Sports broadcaster Erin Andrews. Sileo, a former Miami Hurricanes star, also lost favor after a tirade criticizing his alma mater's loss last year to Kansas. WQAM is UM's flagship station.
 
On Twitter, Sileo thanked WQAM for the opportunity but wrote that he was fired because his provocative style did not mesh well with a "soft" station and "for speaking my mind."
 
"I'm very brutal on the air," he wrote. "WQAM couldn't take it."
 
Sileo, who calls himself "America's most controversial sports talk host" in his Twitter profile, added, "I can't tell the truth on the radio."
 
"11 Controversial Months on the Air ... U bet ... that's The Dan Sileo Show Baby!!!!!!!!" he wrote in another tweet.
 
The controversy included a Twitter tirade against Andrews that led to a brief suspension in January. Among the posts was a reference to the 2008 incident in which a stalker secretly recorded a video of Andrews in her hotel room.
 
Sileo tweeted to Andrews: "pepe hole best thing for ur career," a comment he later backed off from.
 
He also referred to Andrews as a "bimbo," told her to "make me dinner" and "bake me a cake" and added, "love Erin either naked or in a porn ... not at a sports desk."
 
Sileo, 49, was hired to host WQAM's prime late-afternoon drive-time program but was moved to midmornings in August after a management change.
 
Sileo moved to Miami after he was fired as WDAE's morning host in March, when he referred to three black NFL free agents as "monkeys."
 
He was also suspended in 2009 by WDAE's parent company, Clear Channel Inc., for erroneously stating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' owners lost millions in the Bernie Madoff Ponzi scheme. The station retracted the report.
 
Sileo, who played for the Bucs in 1987, began his tenure with WDAE in 1998.
