I agree Dex, and even at his age, he is so smart and so technically sound. You can't simply plug Wright or Johnson in and get the same kind of effect. Part of being great is being more prepared and smarter than the opposing team. With Revis, Goldson, and Barber on the field at the same time....I like our chances. Plus I still think guys like Barron and Johnson can learn a lot from Barber.

It's not looking very promising right now, but my fingers are crossed for Barber to play one more year.

Tyson Clabo - T - Dolphins

Dolphins agreed to terms with RT Tyson Clabo, formerly of the Falcons, on a one-year contract.
The move essentially locks in Jonathan Martin as the Dolphins' starting left tackle after an abominable rookie season. Miami is showing an awful lot of blind faith in last year's second-round pick. Clabo, going on age 32, graded out as the NFL's fifth-best right tackle in 2012, per Pro Football Focus' ratings. He was strong in both protection and run blocking, although 6-foot-6, 329-pound Clabo has always been a power blocker. He'll have to learn to zone block in Joe Philbin's scheme.

John Abraham - DL - Free Agent

USA Today reports the Falcons have been in contact with free agent John Abraham about re-signing, but Abraham isn't interested.
"[The Falcons] were told by Abraham that it's not going to happen," writes Mike Garafolo. There was reportedly a "big push from inside the Falcons locker room" to bring the 35-year-old back. Abraham is likely a bit salty after getting cut and being replaced by fellow veteran Osi Umenyiora in Atlanta. Abraham remains in talks with the Titans, but he could visit another team if a deal isn't reached.

That's awesome if true and makes me want to sign him even more. Sounds like he'd love nothing more than to make the Falcon's regret cutting him.

Richard Seymour - DL - Raiders

Free agent DL Richard Seymour "definitely" wants to play this season.
Seymour is 33 and missed eight games last year due to hamstring woes, but is still a difference-maker when on the field. "I've had a couple of text conversations with Richard, and he definitely wants to play," NFL Network's Steve Wyche said. If that's the case, Seymour is going to have to settle for less money than he's used to. The Falcons have shown interest, but won't be breaking the bank.

I'd take Seymour on a one year deal. Bring great depth to the DT position.

Did Seymour play when Dougie ran untouched thru the middle of that Raider def all game? If so then no I don't want him.

Using that logic, we probably should not have picked up a safety who was part of a secondary that was shredded by Anquan Boldin.

Wouldn't want Jared Allen either then since Doug over powered him on the goal line and pushed him into the end zone for a TD.

You mean that same Jared Allen that whooped Penn's ass and sacked Free when he got upset? I'll take him. My point was Richard Seymour is not that good anymore.

So does this mean that we should cut Penn? ;)
