The Buccaneers' pass rush just got worse by letting defensive end Michael Bennett, the team's leading sacker in 2012, go in free agency. Bennett signed a one-year, $5-million contract with Seattle, a rising power in the NFC and a potential Super Bowl contender.

If they don't add anyone it gets worse.

What's the word on dumerville?

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

Ill reserve judgement until after I see Bowers and Clayborn this season. If they wind up injured again, then I'll agree. Still lots of time before the season starts.

Imagine that.  Someone actually knows football here enough to realize letting Bennett go was a mistake.  Too bad you don't.

I just don't see how you can go into the season with Clayborn, Bowers and DTN. They haven't shown enough to be that confident in them. I really hope that they turn out to be 10+ sack guys.

Maybe if you include the DT's and linebackers.

LOL, letting him walk certainly looks like a bad move, but c'mon

I'm sure they are going to regret not signing Bennett.

He is better than Clyborn and Bowers combined.

It takes players time to develop, it took 5 seasons for Bennett to turn into a decent player. Give Bowers/Clayborn a chance. Clayborn had 7.5 sacks his rookie season, which is pretty decent. It's not too far off the 9 that Bennett posted in his 5th season, not to mention it was against LTs not RTs. It's just kind of risky to assume that Clayborn will develop, hedging that risk with a 5 million dollar a year contract for Bennett should have been a no brainer.

Clayborn is coming off a terrible injury and may never be the same again.   Bowers is fragile.    Bennett was the only solid DE they had.   Ridiculous of Dom to let him go.
