I hope they use the #13 on Revis, then all you guys can calm down on drafting the midgit.

C'mon man. Midget is a little unfair. By height/proportions he is about the same size as(or very close to) DeSean Jackson, Lance Moore, Randall Cobb, T.Y. Hilton, Jeremy Kerley, Percy Harvin, and Wes Welker. All those guys are less than 2 inches taller than Austin, and once Austin gets into a NFL workout program, he will be in the 180's just like most of the guys just named.

Maybe, maybe not.  He reminds me of Trindan Holiday[sp?] , who didn't exactly set the league on fire last season.

Holliday is more Marquise Goodwin than Tavon Austin.

You must be accountable for your actions!

He's 100x the receiver Holliday is and probably a better returner already. His only comparison is Percy Harvin Desean Jackson or Randall Cobb IMO.

I can understand not wanting Austin because of other needs..but Austin is an all around football player...not just a return specialist like Holliday.

Size wise, Tavon Austin is actually closer to all of the guys I named, than he is to 5'5 Trendon Holliday.

Lol, at the Trindon Holliday comparison. Have you ever seen him play at LSU or are you just talking out your a**, Anti-Java?

The guy is nothing but a straight line athlete. He isn't a fluid athlete, not really great at changing directions and doesn't have much NFL skill. Doesn't have great hands, fumbles the ball when carrying it out the backfield, and lacks patience as a RB.

He is an excellent KR. That's it.

I'd love to bring him in, but considering the moves we've made(i.e. almost none) in free agency I don't really see how it's a logical possibility. CB and DT are MUCH larger holes than a slot receiver, and even if the Revis trade goes down we still have another CB slot to fill.

And this is one of the biggest issues I have with not taking advantage of the buyer's market. Signing a guy to a cheap one year deal temporarily fills a hole and allows you to go BPA and take a guy you don't necessarily NEED like Austin if you think he's the best option on the board. Leaving those holes wide open forces your hand and also gives it away to teams who may trade in front of you because they know the position that you've forced yourself to draft.
