Hmmm....does Lovie Smith still need a job?
Why? based on his time with the Bears he really isn't a fit for today's game.
He's a defensive coach in an offensive league and his offences stank.
His teams made the playoffs 1 time in the last 6 seasons.
I think it's fairly easy to see why he's sat at home right now.

Eh, Jeff Fisher was in virtually the exact same situation and he had teams interested in him a year after sitting out.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

Well I never got the hype about Fisher, he's very average.
You'd think he had 12 Super Bowl wins the way some were lusting after him.

Jeff Garcia would be pissed if he played for Schiano. He was always complaining Gruden never married him

I have to agree with FRG --shocking, I know -- but Schiano is not married to Josh.  Like FRG said, if the rest of the team is improving but Josh torpedoes it, Schiano will have no choice but to move on, and any expectation from a new QB will bot be tempered by reality and seen as a problem Schiano inherited, not one he caused.  I think DOm will be insulated from this as well, but he will still pay a price.  I'm pretty sure he's already lost a big chunk of his power, and Freeman failing and the record stagnating will just make him Greg's **CENSORED** -- the Glazers will be more likely to keep Dom and just give the new guys more power rather than add a crappy dynamic by getting a new GM and making Rutgers look like a lame duck.

Schiano is in a tough spot. Most importantly he needs to fix this defense.  If his defense won't work in the NFL he is going to be fired regardless of Freeman.

If Freeman bombs he could still keep his job. I am interested to see if Schiano attempts to fix Freemans footwork, or whether he is going to continue to blame Freemans bad footwork on Freemans own indecision. Way to insulate himself from his QB's bad mechanics. In reality mechanics are coachable and I am very surprised Schiano didn't have Freeman's happy feet fixed yet.

I'm quite disappointed that Freeman seemed to regress after Schiano called him out in the media calling him a work in progress after one bad game.

Schiano obviously has no clue how to deal with today's NFL players. That was the turning point of the season right there.

I think DOMinator is safe but not Schiano.

DOMinator is being severely handicapped
right now because nobody wants to play
here anymore.  Maybe they should have
spent money when Raheem was still here.

At least players WANTED to play for the
Buccaneers back then.
