The Atlanta Falcons are $5.77 million under the cap. That’s more than enough room to get defensive end Osi Umenyiora signed, which sounds like something the Falcons are working on. Even if they add Umenyiora, they still might have enough room to re-sign corner back Brent Grimes, depending on how the deals are structured.

The number on the Carolina Panthers isn't completely current because the contract for defensive tackle Dwan Edwards has yet to be processed. But prior to the Edwards deal, the team was only $787,500 under the cap. Edwards’ deal may be worth slightly more than that. But the Panthers still could be under the cap because the Edwards deal simply would reshuffle the top 51 salaries. It also is possible the Panthers took advantage of the veteran minimum benefit to re-sign Edwards. Whatever, the Panthers are going to have to restructure some more contracts as the draft gets closer because they’ll need enough cap space to sign their draft picks.

The New Orleans Saints are about $1.85 million under the cap, which may or may not be enough to fit corner back Nnamdi Asomugha, if he decides to join the team.. The Saints have been very creative with the cap so far. But the bad news is they’re running out of contracts to restructure.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers continue to hold a commanding lead on the rest of the NFC South when it comes to cap space. They’re $27 million under and that could grow by $7.75 million if the team releases corner back Eric Wright.

Picking 30th the Falcons need $22m to sign all their draft picks over 5 (1st) and 4 (other rounds) deals.

Notice in the link that the 13th pick is of the most value based on cost and performance.

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Good Point. That is what I thought at first... But as far as the Falcons are  concerned I have been hearing that the Falcons might look at cutting RB Jason Snelling and DT Peria Jerry which would save them about $2.5mil. Which would allow them to create more cap space in order to sign Osi and then sign there draft picks. Which would work and be feasible. In order to sign Grimes they would almost certainly have to offer him the vet minimum and cut another player. Depends if he would be willing to go that route.

So the Bucs will likely be $34.75M under the cap. I think they can afford Revis.

Might see some trades or alot more releases, before, on or after the draft. Because cap space..

I was looking at the Bears, they don't have that much money, to sign their picks..Bears could save around 8 million, if they cut Charles Tillman..

And I know Green bay, have about 20 million. Aaron Rodgers new deal, going to take all, if not more "There no way he taking a discount, Rodgers, going want more, then what Joe Flacco got" so they could be releasing or trading players..

That's why Im not so much worry about..Why the Bucs, haven't jump to sign alot FA players, specially the FA CBs. Because alot more players, are going to get release or traded..

By next season Carolina could have $40M+ in cap space if they release Gross, D. Williams, Beason, Davis and J. Anderson right now. Not sure what they're going to be over the cap next year too.

Hey...but we're the offseason winners again...imagine that.

The glazers are horrid owners.

Naismith was right about Revis. Everyone else is a dummy.

for allowing their GM to go after the best 2 DB's available?  some may call it sickening, but if we use our capspace on goldson and revis this offseason i would call it amazing.

Point of reference, J. Anderson just signed a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears...
