Hate on it all you want, but the bucs are gonna wait til they can get revis AND keep their 1st rounder this year, because they have already chosen to go after Tyler Eifert. Schiano and dominik have come to a total agreement that the bucs need a game changing tight end to match the rest of the nfc south and more importantly it has beensd that the addition of a young, team captain, buccaneer man will dramatically improve freemans consistency. (see 2010 w/ kellen winslow) Getting revis is a done deal and the bucs will have the flexibility to go after Eifert at #13.

Would rather they draft defense with the 13th, and then try to move up back to the first later and grab him, if thats what they really want to do.

I agree we won't give up our first but I don't know if it's for Eifert. I think Dom simply needs to gain as much talent as possible this season in order to keep is job.

No chance that we take a TE at #13.  Maybe if we traded down in to the 20s.  Eifert is just not worthy of a top 15 pick.  If you've heard otherwise, you've been fooled by misdirection.

Maybe or maybe not Eifert, but it definitely does seem they're holding onto that pick to either A) trade up or select a player they covet, or B) trade back and add additional picks in the 2nd and 3rd rds if in fact they do give up their 2nd this year for Revis.

No way on Eifert. Your speculation there is off, IMO.

the premise is ok,the player is wrong....there is like 6 really descent tight ends(escobar, ertz, kelse)
.....my guess is the management priapism is based on a corner.(rhodes, trufant)

Tyler Eifert would be a great pick for the Bucs, but I think it takes a first round pick to get Revis, maybe even 2 first round picks.

Not sure that they'd spend the 13th pick on a TE in this year's draft but I wouldnt be shocked to see a trade down and pick him up. No other solutions available in FA.

If the Bucs pass on Eifert for some average corner they are fools.  You grab players like Eifert when you can and the Bucs are the worst team in the NFL at scouting corners.  Solid starter or the next Myron Lewis.  Seems pretty simple to me.

Mike Mayock suggested that Eifert could go as high as 13 to the Bucs.

Who knew how good it would feel as a fan when we now know what it\'s like for our team to have a direction, an attitude, and dare I say an offense?.

Good time to be a Bucs fan.

Think anything is possible in this draft, really hard to gauge. Would not be a shock if no TE's go in the first round.

Trufant and Xhodes grade out in the same area as Eifert and all three are expected to be drafted somewhere in the teens...not sure what makes them any more average than Eifert.

Don't think either Rhodes or Trufant would be in the first round discussion in most drafts.

I think the main reason Dominick doesnt want to give up the #13 pick this year because their isnt a huge dropoff in talent between mid to late 1st round through the second round and he wants to try to trade down and acquire more picks either this year or next year to help make up the picks he will trade to the Jets in 2014.
