Don't know that it was planned, but maybe negligent.

Keep him until a better option presents itself. If he stays, he gets a reworked contract. I think that is a given.

At this point, there's really no alternative. Gotta keep him.

Same thing was said about talib 1.0.

If you were Wright, would you take less money?  If they cut him, I find it hard to believe he comes back here.  I can see a lot of resentment on his part toward the Bucs.  He filed a grievance against them.  Yes, he screwed up.  But is he really that bad?  Or was it the ultra crappy college defense we ran?  Talib played well in NE.  Wright was considered decent prior to last year as well.  Seems odd that Talib goes to a different system and plays well.

Wright will take less money to get guaranteed money back in his contract. It's why I don't think the Bucs will re-do his deal. I think it makes more sense to pay him more this year while they still have the cap space but keep the ability to cut him down the road with no cap penalties or renegotiate his deal then. If they re-do the deal, they're committing to him beyond this season.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Mediocre play, evidenced by the Giants game, repeated mistakes over the years, waaaaaay too expensive and to me dumb as hell seeing the opportunity here to suceed and make money. I would cut his dumb ass.

Dump him. The Wright Supporters are Wrong. He is terrible, and I am not sure what the hell they are watching.

Right?

Flush this turd.

I can't believe that most people favor keeping him.

Hell, brees might not be as accurate as manziel.

IMO, it would be silly to cut him right now. At this point he is the most talented CB on our team. I am of the opinion it would be wise to restructure his contract and keep him on this team. Low risk, high reward. Maybe he will turn it around.

Voted.

I can't stand the thought of watching another game of Brandon McDonald and Gorreerrdurdiddledong getting their behinds pushed in.

we dont have a choice right now because we didnt even try to find a corner in FA. keep him and cut his salary in half

It's more like, we are forced to keep him because we can't get any other free agent corners to sign.

Worst of all is that he actually has a lot of leverage against the Bucs.  Why would he take a pay cut when he knows that we can't attract ANY other corners?

We are stuck with him.

desmond trufant, xavier rhodes, jamar taylor, jordan poyer, logan ryan, wreh-wilson, will davis, leon mcfadden, alford...its not ideal, but there seems to be a lot of talent in the draft.  and if we arent a Revis away from contending, why not grab a couple young CB's?

but yeah, i dont care one way or another about wright.  i dont love him, but he can do some positive things for us.  i wouldnt be upset if we restructured him.
