It's hard to be too dismissive of Stafford's 2011. Over 5000 yards and 41 TDs, sixth all time, en route to breaking the Lions playoff drought.

The biggest complaint on Freeman is inconsistency. With Stafford you've got that and durability issues as well. Our #1 receiver doesn't stack up to the Lions' #1 receiver, but overall I like our offense better. We'll be in the playoffs before them.

If Stafford/Freeman were any more consistent they would be putting up elite numbers.  Maybe in due time they reach that point or maybe not but we shall see.

Stafford's inconsistency has resulted in back-to-back 5000 yard seasons, though. I'm just saying, I can understand why people think Stafford > Freeman.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

They both have the same career 6.9 ypa, so total yards isn't very useful, Stafford has a lot more attempts than Freeman.

Stafford has a much better TD-INT ratio though, which is why I would give him the nod. Freeman only has 2 less TDs, but quite a bit more INTs.

Still, both are very comparable especially when you bring in the Calvin Johnson factor. Stafford is better, but not by much.

The whole 2009 QB class is the reason I'm holding off on crowning guys like Russell Wilson and Kapernick (even if he's not a rookie). Sanchez led his team to the AFC championship twice, had a decent statistical season. Freeman had one of the best TD-INT ratios of all time. Stafford put up elite numbers. After those respective seasons, people thought they were great QBs. Now this season, everyone thinks they're trash. Wilson, Kaepernick, and RG3 could come out and stink it up at various points like Stafford/Freeman/Sanchez have.

As a Buc fan, if the Chiefs had picked Freeman that year, that would have been a dream come true.

Stafford has always had Calvin Johnson. Sanchez had a stout defense and a veteran offense that bolstered his record and stats. Freeman has had none of that and still had 25+TDs in 2 out of the 3 full seasons he's been the starter. The talent around him has some experience now. They are no longer the youngest team in the league. Hopefully they can stay healthy for the first time since he's been here. If they can, I expect he will set new records for this offense. 13 wins would be nice, but it is a pretty tough schedule this year.
4,500+ yards and 35 TDs with 10 or 11 interceptions is within his capabilities.

Free before Cushing and Clay is comical

Anti-pewter colored glasses?

Clay has had one good year and then he has disappeared.

Freeman now has a better overall offensive supporting cast than Stafford, yet Stafford still outperforms Freeman.

In what way Java? Wins? I doubt that. Consistency? Nope. Throws for more yardage? maybe slightly. Throws for more TDs? Maybe slightly. Stafford has a better #1, a better TE and a better slot receiver. So there goes your theory.

I would respond to that, but you addressed it to someone else.   So you figure it out.

Kansas City has three good linebackers and just went 2-14. If you don't have a QB you can't win.

Where would Josh go if he went in the 2013 draft?   2nd round earliest.

Its going to look to some people like a different play every time we use it, but pretty soon theyll be able to recognize it....by watching the official for the first-down signal.   -Vincent T. Lombardi

Andre Smith, OT was a good pick for the Bengals not sure why they would change it.

It's extremely likely Geno Smith is going to be a top 10 pick in this draft. Would you put money down that he would throw 78 TD's in 3 1/2 years like Freeman has?
