we've all heard the rumors about legarrett blount possibly being traded , but if martin goes down , where do we turn to.our current roster depth( without lb ) is average at best , this years draft is notably lacking in top tier rb talent and the 2nd round of free agency probably won't help much. i personally think keeping legarrett is our best option , unless someone throws a ridiculous draft pick our way. just my humble opinion.

Good question. I dont want to see Ware as that guy. If they dont trade Blount than hes the obvious option. I feel like they will trade him and draft another guy that Schiano likes. Thats my guess right now.

LGB stays here until they have a viable alternative...but I think they will pursue one either in the later rounds of the draft or via trade/picking up someone else's post draft cut...as soon as they have an alternative they can trust they can dispose of him.   I think Dominick wants a pick...so will hold him until someone is willing to pay something.

Ware isn't a Buccaneer anymore. Michael Smith is, though.

Thanks didnt know that. I didnt think that much of him anyways. Michael Smith is interesting. We didnt see much of him last year. He has to get some opportunities this preseason.

Blount at RB is a better option than Orlovsky at QB any day of the week. I'd be more worried if #5 goes down and that plan.

The plan is he doesn't, that's why they're shopping Blount away.

Good point. Im curious to see if they will draft a QB this year. A part of me says no way and other part says yes they need to. If he gets hurt then the team is screwed but what about if Freeman just isnt playing well? Dan the Man wont be any better. So they need somebody if the QB is dragging the team down. They really might surprise us with a QB in the draft earlier than later. I could be wrong though.

I have to imagine the Bucs will spend a mid to late round pick on a RB this year to come in and compete for a spot. If Martin goes down we are in trouble period. Blount is ok...but he's no Martin. I am fine with trading Blount if we can get another 4th or 5th round pick because we can always use that to get another RB. RB is one position that you can find hidden gems.

Whoa...shiver me ****in timbers!

Keep Blount. Move along. Spend picks on guys that will start.

Sig change requested by \"threadkiller\". I delivered with the most disturbing thing I came across on the college boards x)

Monte Ball
Stephan Taylor
Dennis Johnson
Zac Stacey
Robbie Rouse
Mike James

One of those guys should be the plan. People say RB isn't a need, but it is. If you don't have a solid stable of backs, then you are just asking for trouble. Running backs rarely make it through an entire season without injury. Especially when they have 370 touches per season.

Don't waste a pick on a rb earlier than 5th round.  Its not a desperate need.
