Wonder why no one mentions Kelce.

NFL gives him an overall rating of 80. Some Boards considers him better than all TE's except Eifort.  Also his 40 yd was just a little faster than any upper level TE's

NFL compares him to Gronk.         Here is the NFL report.

In high school, Kelce was a three sport star, but his best sport was always football. He was a three-year letter winner at quarterback, and earned All-Lake Erie League honors after totaling 2,539 yards of total offense and 31 total touchdowns as a senior. Kelce’s uncle Don Blalock played football at Purdue and grandfather Don Blalock played football at Ohio. Travis is the younger brother of former Cincinnati Bearcats and current Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce.

In his first year on campus, Travis redshirted. In his redshirt freshman year, Kelce participated in 11 games as the tight end. He caught one pass for three yards. Kelce also played some quarterback, strictly in a Wildcat role. He logged eight carries for 47 yards and two touchdowns. Kelce did not play in 2010, as he was suspended for a violation of team rules. Upon his return in 2011, Kelce caught 13 passes for 150 yards and two touchdowns. In his senior season, Kelce put himself on the NFL prospect map, as he caught 45 passes for 722 yards and eight touchdowns. He was selected to the All-Big East first team for his play.

Analysis
Strengths Kelce has an ideal tight end frame. Athletic for his size, with great strength, and the ability to stretch the field vertically. Very physical run blocker, generates power from the lower half, and will move defenders off the ball. Plays with leverage. Wide catching radius, can adjust and make the difficult catch. Tough to bring down after the catch. Light feet, and has lined up in numerous different positions.

Weaknesses  Suspended for an entire season for violating team rules. Only one season of production. Doesn't have blazing speed. Not a tremendously explosive athlete. Doesn't come out of his breaks all that well.

NFL Comparison  Rob Gronkowski

Bottom Line Kelce has been a tremendous run blocker throughout his career for the Bearcats, but really elevated his game as a receiver in his senior season. He isn't a tremendous athlete, but he does a lot of things very well. It's a deep tight end class, but Kelce's play suggests that he should be highly sought after.     .

The people that do mention him say he's a train wreck.

We will be Carolina ready when we are Carolina ready.

Was Gronk also considered somewhat of a "problem" and the feeling was that when Bill B took him that he would straighten out..

Bill B doesn't draft for the Bucs.

We will be Carolina ready when we are Carolina ready.

Maybe Schaino can fix him. If he's there in the 4th, lets do it. Great blocker too

He won't make it to the 4th some team will take a risk , I'm hoping we trade up and take zach Ertz at the end of the 1st he has a better skillset than Kelce without the problems, freeman doesn't really know what it is like to have a 3 down reliable te and we need to get him one in Ertz to open up our offense. Escobar and Fauria are huge drop offs they are taller but can't block, run good routes or anything special after the catch

Jenna Laine had a good article on twitter and said she has heard form reliable Buc sources that they are very much in the market for a tight end and the perception of the giants offense not having a legit tight end is not how the Bucs want to run things, they have their eyes set on Tyler Eifert if he falls down the first they will try to trade up for them, she also mentions them looking at Ertz and they really like Gavin Escobar

She has become one of the better and more reliable sources for Bucs news.

I've watched highlights (and only highlights) of Eifert, Ertz and Kelce and from just the highlights, they excite me in reverse order of what they will be drafted. Kelce looks the best, followed by Ertz and then Eifert.

Youtube GM!

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

Hate Ertz. Benefited from the system IMO. Look how treasured Fleener was last year, was outperformed by Dwayne Allen

Only had one full year. He has a lot of talent. I like him as a player as much as Ertz.

I think the Bucs will draft TE early this year. It's a glaring hole.

If they don't draft a TE early you can forget about Freeman having a great season. Stocker sucks and Crabtree is one dimensional.

Freeman really needs a TE with that great range to snag those mis-throws.

After clearing out this team of so many headcases, why draft even a hint of one?

We will be Carolina ready when we are Carolina ready.

"There have been reports of off-field issues regarding Kelce, namely drugs and poor attitude "

"Detroit Lions writer Mike O'Hara noted that Cincinnati TE Travis Kelce missed the entire 2010 season "reportedly for failing a drug test."

Not a Buccaneer man . I'd stick with Ertz.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.
