Don't know if it is even feasible because I'm not a contract expert but could the Bucs cut VJ after this year to pay MW like a 1?  Would you be willing to cut bait on Jackson in order to keep the younger guy?

Not possible anymore because Dominik restructured his deal. If he's cut/traded next year he still counts $7.3M against the cap.

If  Dominik never restructured the contract he could have been released/traded with no cap hit.

Even if he's cut in 2015 he still counts $4.9M against the cap.
well then, if MW walks then the blame should be placed on Dom and not Williams.  Can't blame a guy for wanting to make the most money he can.

Gotta ask... Is it that hard to find another #2 WR?

Kind of.  Wr is a hard position to draft for.

Especially if in 5 drafts you only use 1 of those to draft a WR.

It pretty much is.  Over the last, I don't know - 10 years or so, free agent WR's haven't really panned out very well.  Outside of Vincent Jackson, off the top of my head, I can't name any.

Dom has drafted 3 IIRC.  One panned out.  One didnt.  One was what it was, a 7th round pick.  But other than MW who was the last WR this team has drafted that you would want as a starter?  We would have to go pretty far back I think.

No negotiations have begun at all. It will be discussed soon, but Dom isn't paying him $8 million a year.

3 WR's total, but Stroughter was a shot in the dark...  all 7th rounders are, but I meant the number of drafts, not WR's.  He only drafted startable WR's in 2010 (Benn & Williams).

As for who I thought of... I could give you a very long list.  One's on this board that I was very outspoken on were Dez, Decker, Wallace, Crabtree, Maclin, Blackmon, Hilton, and Torrey Smith.  Of the guys who didn't pan out... as of yet, or at all were Ryan Broyles, Alshon Jeffery, Jonathan Baldwin, Marcus Easley, Brandon Tate, Cecil Shorts, and Jernigan.

And he shouldn't.  The absolute highest he should go would be $7, but I'm thinking $6 is reasonable.

I don't disagree on his worth but my fear is MW and his agent might.  All it takes is one wr starved team to overpay.
