Find you?  You mean open random thread?  Yeah really tough to "find you" .... lolz

Quote
and yet here you are again . . . posting about me     man, if you think I comment on your stalking me to feel important . . . . wow . . .  you are beyond getting a grip ... you might be in lobotomy land.

Let me prove my point to you and Biggsy by letting you guys step all over yourselves as I know you will.  Here's the challenge:

Between the three of us, let's see who is the first from this point forward to post ABOUT THE OTHER POSTER, not the substance of the discussion, but the person making the comment. Between you, me and Biggsy, let's see who is the very next poster, after I post this comment,  to post a comment referencing the other poster instead of the substance.  That shouldn't be a problem right . . . because you're not stalking me . . . right?  I look forward to both of you proving me wrong.

I'm glad to see another ground breaking news story by "My Boy" Glenn Greenwald has served to wake some of you up. Lest you think this is a partisan issue let me remind you that this was begun under President GWB and propelled by President Obama. At the point in which Lindsay Graham and President Obama intersect that should clue you in enough and tell you what you need to know of the facade of this two-party duopoly. I hope that you (L)libertarians are paying close attention to this.

For those that still believe in the Rep. & Dem. slight of hand diversion you may be too far gone to reach at this point. It really doesn't matter though, because those two party system statists are quickly being left behind. People are waking up to that crooked falsehood. Dinosaurs of a by-gone era. Good riddance.

If you're not interested in seeing what journalism truly is, then I strongly recommend that you not watch this Greenwald interview.

Even though I often disagree with you, reading through a lot of this thread I have to applaud you for consistently being one of the few around here who seems to look at issues with an open mind and don't fall into the red vs blue trap.  Good interview.

Appreciate it, jbear. I stay away from the inculcated tribalism that's been too prevalent for too long.

You are scared of me. Just admit it, it'll be much easier for you in the long run. it'll be a walk in the park for me. Post the link and show you evidence. I'm waiting.

lol - scared of you? no, I am scared of the government ..I work in a high rise . . . . lmao

You "work" in your Mom's basement.

Now post your evidence.

Oh come off it already. You never directly said that the government set bombs in the towers, but you implied it. If you weren't suggesting that 9/11 was orchestrated by our government then who are you suggesting it was orchestrated by? The tooth fairy?

Oh, for the love of God. Go to bed.

The entire forum is worn-out by your never ending socialist conspiracies.

Senators skip classified briefing on NSA snooping to catch flights home

A recent briefing by senior intelligence officials on surveillance programs failed to attract even half of the Senate, showing the lack of enthusiasm in Congress for learning about classified security programs.

Many senators elected to leave Washington early Thursday afternoon instead of attending a briefing with James Clapper, the Director of National Intelligence, Keith Alexander, the head of the National Security Agency (NSA), and other officials.

The Senate held its last vote of the week a little after noon on Thursday, and many lawmakers were eager to take advantage of the short day and head back to their home states for Father’s Day weekend.

Only 47 of 100 senators attended the 2:30 briefing, leaving dozens of chairs in the secure meeting room empty as Clapper, Alexander and other senior officials told lawmakers about classified programs to monitor millions of telephone calls and broad swaths of Internet activity.

Miss me yet?

That is classic.

Of course, it's just as much of a song dance when he said it as it is today.

No difference between Obama and Bush on national security?

http://www.dailykos.com/story/2011/03/08/954007/-Glenn-Greenwald-And-Peter-King-Are-Wrong-About-Obama-s-New-Combatant-Status-Review-Policy

The real issues involving PRISM, the Obama administration's record on civil liberties, drone strikes, etc. are worth talking about, but Greenwald is sensationalizing the issues, and as a result, is compromising his credibility. In other words, Glenn Greenwald is a headline seeking, reactionary blowhard. I can see why Durango likes him so much.

Michael Hastings, the journalist best known for the 2010 Rolling Stone story that led to the resignation of Gen. Stanley McChrystal, died Tuesday in a car crash in Los Angeles, his employers at BuzzFeed and Rolling Stone announced. http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013/06/18/19027717-journalist-michael-hastings-dies-at-33?lite

---------------------------

This was his final article.

Why Democrats Love To Spy On Americans

For most bigwig Democrats in Washington, D.C., the last 48 hours has delivered news of the worst kind — a flood of new information that has washed away any lingering doubts about where President Obama and his party stand on civil liberties, full stop.

Glenn Greenwald’s exposure of the NSA’s massive domestic spy program has revealed the entire caste of current Democratic leaders as a gang of civil liberty opportunists, whose true passion, it seems, was in trolling George W. Bush for eight years on matters of national security.“Everyone should just calm down,” Senator Harry Reid said yesterday, inhaling slowly.

That’s right: don’t panic.

The very topic of Democratic two-facedness on civil liberties is one of the most important issues that Greenwald has covered. Many of those Dems — including the sitting President Barack Obama, Senator Carl Levin, and Sec. State John Kerry — have now become the stewards and enhancers of programs that appear to dwarf any of the spying scandals that broke during the Bush years, the very same scandals they used as wedge issues to win elections in the Congressional elections 2006 and the presidential primary of 2007-2008.

NSA revelations only 'the tip of the iceberg,' says Dem lawmaker

The federal surveillance programs revealed in media reports are just "the tip of the iceberg," a House Democrat said Wednesday.

Rep. Loretta Sanchez (D-Calif.) said lawmakers learned "significantly more" about the spy programs at the National Security Agency (NSA) during a briefing on Tuesday with counterterrorism officials.

"What we learned in there," Sanchez said, "is significantly more than what is out in the media today."

Lawmakers are barred from revealing the classified information they receive in intelligence briefings, and Sanchez was careful not to specify what members might have learned about the NSA's work.

"I can't speak to what we learned in there, and I don't know if there are other leaks, if there's more information somewhere, if somebody else is going to step up, but I will tell you that I believe it's the tip of the iceberg," she said.

Sanchez's remarks on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" came a day after House lawmakers were briefed by national security officials on clandestine data collection programs.

The briefing was meant to convince lawmakers that the surveillance programs are legal and necessary in fighting counterterrorism — an argument President Obama and other administration officials have made.

Lawmakers demanded the briefings after revelations last week about the NSA's collection of phone records and Internet data, and Sanchez said lawmakers were "astounded" by what they heard.

"I think it's just broader than most people even realize, and I think that's, in one way, what astounded most of us, too," Sanchez said of the briefing.
