You're an Aussie ? Well no wonder you don't know what you are talking about when it comes to American football.

All starting to make sense now.

According to all my Aussie friends, he doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to healthcare, either. Every one of them said that there are very long waits for any kind of significant procedure.

Listened to the news this evening and a guy noted the increase in dissatisfaction among women voters (as Barry's popularity drops) and he started to link that with women being betrayed/lied to - he didn't carry the thought far - but I am thinking it is valid.  I know many households where the wife makes the insurance selections... this could develop into a large loss for Barry...

The irony of all this is that it has been implemented in the name of fairness. Yet the lynchpin of the whole act is to for the poorest demographic in the country (the young) finance the richest demographic in the country (retirees). Where is the fairness in that?

Which reminds me, my Open Enrollment ends today, better 'get it dun!'

So my current policy has become much more expensive to keep , and the options given to me on healthcare.gov are even more expensive than my current.

Gotta love the "affordable healthcare act " . If it wasn't so tragic it would be hilarious.

Hate hearing how many are negatively impacted - wonder how long it will take Barry and Co. to realize by making the Senate process like that of the House it will only take 51 to lose this mess...

The filibuster is still there for legislation. For now anyway.

The point is the rules were changed so the majority party could get their way.  To think the breaking of the rules covenant would not be expanded at the whim of this or a future Congress is giving a lot more credit than I have.  With this move the Senate is nothing more than an extension of the House - Senators were to created to represent the minority to a point, as each state had two.  The point being the less populated states would be on an even field so to speak in the Senate.  That is now at best uncertain.

It wasn't implemented in the name of fairness, that was just the sales pitch.  It was implemented in the ideal of increasing government (read democrat and RINO) power by making the population dependent upon the government for something as basic as healthcare.  Similar to immigration "reform" which has nothing to do with right or wrong and everything to do with creating a permanent pro-big-government majority.

In Australia everyone is covered by Medicare.

You just walk out after they fix you up. No bills ever.

I also have private insurance that covers specialists and the like. It is top of the line insurance that costs $13 per fortnight.

And I pay less payroll taxes as well.

If Americans had any idea how good the system is here and elsewhere they would literally be rioting in the streets.

Best of luck to all of you.
whether that's true or not, does Australia have 47% of their population not paying taxes?
