Jordan Norwood - WR - Buccaneers

Bucs agreed to terms with WR Jordan Norwood, formerly of the Browns.
DE Aaron Morgan was waived in a corresponding move. A fifth-year undrafted free agent, Norwood spent the past two years with the Browns. He was waived on Monday. He's likely just a camp body, but the Bucs don't have a set slot receiver. Norwood plays exclusively in the slot.

Stupid move. Morgan at least showed some promise last year. We don't need another **CENSORED**ty WR that won't be making the team.

I thought we couldn't sign any veteran DE's because they'd get in the way of Moragn's development?

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

They see these guys EVERYDAY. I am sure if Morgan had shown anything he would not have been cut.

Head scratcher to me. Doesn't seem to have much upside. Guess we'll see if he sticks.

Jordan Norwood appears to be cut for injury proneness; obviously, the bucs just want to meet him.  As for Morgan getting cut, well, I'd certainly like to know the reasons; it would be nice to think it's because of good competition.

Haha.

I expect a lot of roster shuffling next week.

Why cut a player at a postion the Bucs lack depth in for a bum WR?

If Morgan wasn't getting cut today it would have been Saturday.  Nagging injuries and Scott made him expendable.

But I see this as a strategic move for the Bucs.  Cut Morgan now and then get him signed to the PS on Saturday.  They will probably have to sign him to the highest PS contract possible (IIRC they did that last year with him) to get him to stay.

    Another slot receiver.
Apparently Morgan is not quite all the way back from last season's injury. Besides, with Scott's emergence, Morgan was likely relegated to the bubble anyway. Can't keep everyone...

Norwood is about to pass up Mike Shannahan on the list of all time great Buccaneers.

There\'s a very real chance the Bucs waive [Revis] before next season. At the very least, it will be a discussion worth having.

I liked what I saw last year, saw some burst, quickness but also a one trick pony. I thought he had a shot at developing. Guess he was panning out this year.

This is somewhat akin to cleaning the garage before your dinner party.
