Good point. Freeman looked like the real deal in 2011.

Damn it.

So now we know why we passed on Kaepernick and Dalton?

and Wilson, and didn't trade up for RG3 and whatever else you're attempting to ask

IMO Dalton is a total game manager who benefits from a good offensive line, the second best receiver in the NFL, and a top defense. If he played in Tampa he'd be lucky to look as good as Freeman. As far as I'm concerned the only QB's better than Freeman that Dominik had a shot at and passed are Kap and Wilson.

FRG is the most logical poster on this board.  You guys just don\'t like where the logical conclusions take you.

+2, he is a poor mans Brad Johnson. Good player, but in no way a franchise QB

Doesnt matter, im not sold on Dalton either, But if somebody thinks Dom had so many chance to answer the franchise QB question, Dalton is one of the few that atleast come close to.

I would have liked the discussion should we have drafted Wilson in 3rd round after 3 years of Leftwich and then Wilson does not produce right away, for instance due to not having a #1 defense.

Saying manziel isn't as good as RG3 is silly though. Comparable, but manziel is a better passer.

If you think the skins did well bringing in rg3 for their future, or luck was a good pick for the colts, and you don't think freeman is the answer, you should be on the manziel-to-bucs bandwagon.

Manziel- 68% completion percentage, 3709 passing yards, 26 tds, 9 ints. 1410 yards rushing.
Rg3- 72% completion percentage, 4293 passing yards, 37 tds, 6 ints. 843 yards rushing.
Luck 71% completion percentage, 3517 passing yards, 37 tds, 10 ints.

Keep in mind, these were both at their college prime. RG3 had almost identical stats the year before, but of course he was more developed as a player than manziel was at that point by two seasons. I only throw in luck as barometer of the two considering he was first overall, and did well in the pro game.

I'm assuming that he wouldn't run as much at the pro level, so take some of those running yards off, and add them to the passing stat and you have an idea of where manziel would be as an NFL QB. And if you did that, he would be right in line with these two statistically speaking.

alldaway
