No real shockers. We will see how Watson develops his overrall game, not really looking forward to his coverage ability.

Haven't been able to watch any of the preseason games. About to google Michael Adams. How has he looked?

Bowers winning the job and Johnson beating out Banks are the big things to me.

Yeah the two shockers are Bowers winning a job as well as Stocker.  Leonard Johnson beating out Banks could be considered a shock as well.

Who "starts" shouldn't upset anyone on defense since they will play match-ups and schemes utilizing all personnel...but having said that, I don't see how giving Bowers the title of starter is sending the right message given that Scott came in and quickly established himself as a better option.

Everyone here declared Banks a stud after one pre season game but I don't think he has been all that impressive in the others.

Banks had three impressive three pre season games and only really stumbled in the last one.

Hey it happens for a rookie and he will make his share of mistakes this year. Anybody expecting the kid to be perfect is totally kidding themselves. But I also think he will make his share of plays. He was a great player in college and against great competition. The best after the NFL for sure.

Our roster looks pretty good this year. I wouldn't call it a Super Bowl roster but I think it's formidable and we should be able to beat the hell out of some teams this year. TE and DE worry me most.

Banks played well. The chart isn't in stone, see Nicks and Bowers.  Neither of them will probably start vs. NY.

We also kept 3 QBs.  I think that is a big waste of a roster spot.  Our season is over if Glennon or Big O has to take over the reigns.  Might as well lose big at that point and get a QB in the top of the draft.

It would be over but the problem is this team is good enough to win games. To get top players you need an awful roster which I don't be,I've we have. Just not great depth which every team pretty much has no depth and we need a TE (which we barely use anyways) and a DE which also seems strange that we don't use it that much either. Wish we would but Schiano is a strange coach. I hope it works out but picking in the 10-20 range is where this team is likely to land if things don't work out where we want it to go.

I dont think handing the job to Bowers sends a very good message.

He clearly didnt earn it.

What is your point? I was wrong? Ok. You win. I was wrong.

Raiders kept 4 QBs and 2 Punters.
